I had a BMX on may 25th. The PS focused on the right side attempting to stretch my skin enough for exchange surgery leaving the left side 180cc's less. The total for each side is to be 600cc. During all this time I only sae my PS tight after the drains had been removed while his nurse or tech's would fill at each visit. I continually asked about increasing my left side but was told my PS looked at my previous pics and was satisfied with the fill or lack there of. With the fill completed on the right side I was finally given an appt with the PS. He was very satisfied with the right side but then noticed the left side was very lacking in size so ordered the additional 180cc to be added the following day. The evening of the day I saw the PS I noticed the left breast shape is changing, looking more flat. Because of an issue I wasn't able to be seen. It has been 5 days and it is flatter and the points of the TE are protruding. I am now having a lot of pain on the left side of the TE as well as near my armpit and began having a large muscle spasm high up in my back which has not be relieved with muscle relaxers and massage. Could the pain I am now experiencing be due to the saline leak? I know saline should not be problematic and if I were a typical patient with no underlying health problems I wouldn't suspect otherwise. The pain next to my breast feels like PMS pain but I am now menopausal and had none of these symptoms before this week. I have had no periods or bleeding for over 9 months and blood work shows menopause.

It is possible for a TE to leak. If it's getting flat that could be the issue. I don't know if the saline itself would hurt as it came out, but the way the TE changes position if something leaked out could. The other thing is that TEs can just give you lots of pain or be uncomfortable anyway. Muscle spasms are common. A lot of people are miserable with them in. Mine were stuck to scar tissue where they were placed, which I think is pretty common. You should have your doctor or PS do an exam if you are worried though.

All the fluid leaked out of mine after a fill from a student doctor. I had it removed October 4th 2016.

I`m still recovering, I have lymphedema also, and I am wondering if the TE leaking made it worse. This

surgery has been worse than when I had the breast removed.
