HER2+ Herceptin

My sister might have triple positive IDC. The HER2 test came back equivocal so they are retesting. I'm worried because I've been reading that drugs like Herceptin might not work on triple positive breast cancers. Does anyone have any information on this?

That doesn't make any sense. Herceptin is specifically designed for Her+ patients, hormonal status is irrelevant. What are you reading?

Herceptin will work perfectly as long as it is HER2 (+). Hanging in there for the FISH test of HER2, if it is coming back as positive, then for sure go for Herceptin.
