So what's on your holiday wish list?

That's ok, Lilia. I was thinking afterwards that maybe others thought I was being too "light hearted" too, since not many others played along with me. I was hoping to help pull others out of the place I have been living(aka--the pit of despair) Even taking out the breast cancer thing--this year has been incredibly difficult for me for my family. Oh well, I could be over sensitive--the steroids seem to do that to me.
Your relatives come here for support?? Can I have your relatives?
{{hugs}} -
No, not selfish. It is after all a wish list. Its fun to wish and have dreams. And its wonderful if things get checked off the wish list.

Top of my holiday wish list would be 2 days free from the effects of Arimidex..oh, how I would love to dash about and get involved in everything, instead of having to make a big effort, then pay for it for days afterwards!
I would actually really, really, like the building work we started 2 weeks ago to be magically finished in time for the whole family to spread out over Christmas. It is going to take about another 8 weeks. I am already tearing my hair out! We are expanding our house, into a redundant barn next door, so that the house will be about twice as big as it is now, so I would like a builder, a roofer, a plumber, an electrician, a heating engineer all to pop up and do the job right now, so I can get a decorator, and a carpet man in there and finish off by this w/end. I will make my own curtains and blinds, so I would also want a magic sewing machine that sews so fast I couldn't see it working.
Oh, then some money, lots of it, to pay off all these men!!!! Isabella. -
A very private beach house on the Cape
A new car
A way to thank my boss for his never-ending generosity
Tuition for my youngest (he's applying to MIT, "RPI & Yale YIKES)
A huge new bathroom with a sunken tub with a jacuzzi of course
New clothes for my new body
A new body
but most of all I want some HAIR -
Bayyore, sorry that you've been down lately, that's no fun, especially at this time of year. Hmmm, wish list....my husband asked me what I wanted for Christmas and all I could think of was the new Infiniti hair dryer so I can straighten my hair.
I would like to win a really big lotto so I could pay not only my bills but also help a few friends and family out.
Since I just visited New Jersey for the first time, I would like a house like most of them I saw back there, 4 or 5 bedrooms on an acre plus, no fences, rolling hills, but I'd like it to be in California.
Oh, my husband heard that he may be laid off so since we have a wedding to help pay for next year, I wish for him to keep his job until the wedding anyway. With the news about the layoff, we decided not to go to Europe next spring.....
Margaret -
Thanks Margaret! I am trying to fight it. Where did you visit in NJ? It's a state of many faces. I will be sending good thoughts for your husband not to be laid off.
-
Margaret--just tried responding to your PM and it says you're all filled up! Time to empty, girl!
-
That's strange - I don't have any PMs - must be another glitch in this system! I'll check it again.
Margaret
P.S. I went back in and sure enough there was a message that I had exceeded my limit of saved messages (that's the packrat in me) so I deleted a bunch - should work now. -
nothing for me but 1 dance with "NED"!
-
That DaBears go to the superbowl.

Getting out of debt and both of my sons (21)(26) being self sufficent...xoxo

I keep thinking of stuff I want and then I always forget it by the time I get to a piece of paper.
I would like some energy to go back to my very strenuous job of foster care caseworker. (I honestly wish there was no need for folks like me.) I hope that the Christmas charity effort here in Illinois is successful and puts some good gifts under these children's trees. Foster parents are underappreciated and a great blessing.
I would like a guarantee that we will never be transferred again, and some financial aid would be nice. We have had someone in college every year since 1993. Can I get a break here???
Other than that, I wish a peaceful holiday for all you marvelous women !!
~Dorie
PS: My cheesehead prediction: Da Bears are a goin' ! -

My holiday wish list:
1.That all those with the dreaded bc stay strong and fight like the dickens to kill the beast ( I won't ask for science to find the magic cure but I do pray they come up with a good start)
2.I was wishing for my new boobies for Christmas but it looks like the soonest will be the end of January so I hope I can get the rest of my body in shape to match my new boobies.
3. I wish to connect with more ladies with bc so I can enjoy the comradery of breast friends
4. That I can start to make a difference so that the problems of our at risk youth become prioritized and help to ensure that their futures are more secure.
5. That I get involved with more volunteer work because in giving I hope to feel a sense of fulfillment
AND ... I WANT TO CONTINUALLY TRY TO LIVE BY THE SERENITY PRAYER:
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
and The Wisdom to know the difference
And I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and all the best -
Like the two front teeth song I use to hear when I was little, all I want for Christmas is my two new breasts. I'm scheduled for exchange surgery 12-22. NLK
-
Believe me Teresa, I am not important, just a little crazy to do it, but heck the need is great and I am good at it.
Don't doubt your strength, after handling BC, you can handle anything!
~Dorie -
I wish for an extra bedroom to be added on to my house, new hard wood floors, new furniture, my new car paid off and all my credit card bills be paid.
Actually, winning a big lottery would just about do it. Money may not be able to make you happy, but I bet it makes you happier! I'd be broke soon, 'cos I love to "give". Watch peoples faces when they get something they really need or want. What a truly wonderful feeling! That's always "my" present, to watch my loved ones open up their presents. And that's the truth, as wishy-washy as it sounds!

Cheri
Money may not make you happy but I'd sure like to give it a shot too!
