Today marks 11 years since Stage IIb/IIIa PILC dx
Unfortunately, I didn't know about this site at first. Once I found it, I was given much needed support and will never forget it. I still come here and can see that some women who helped me then are here helping others. Thank you all for what you do.
Wishing every one of you, wherever you are in your BC experience, the very, very best.
Hugs, G.

Hi Friends,
Just an update on me: Had a yearly check up with breast cancer specialist. Had two biopsies of questionable marks and both came back positive for ILC breast cancer. This is my 10 year anniversary from the first time. It appears to be in my breast skin again so getting a PET scan on Monday. Not sure what the plan is yet but will let you know when I get it. Just an update for you:
2006 PILC, stage 1, 2010 recurrence of PILC, 2015 Carcinoid, Nets in stomach and mets to liver, last week: ILC on both breasts in the skin.
I am getting tired of doctors telling me "you have cancer" but I feel great and just had two beautiful grandbabies this year so I plan on being around another decade or two. I may write a book some day.
Take care,
Nancy

Always appreciate the updates. I've been thinking about you. Thank you for sharing and do keep us updated!
Enjoy the grandkids!

Hi friends,
Good news! PET scan showed no cancer anywhere. This means that the IL recurrence is only in the breast skin which doesn't show on scans. The plan now is to have surgery to remove the ILC and change my daily hormone pill. No chemo and no radiation......thank God:) I only have breast cancer on the outside, not inside.
Thanks for your support,
Nancy

Really great news.....

Nancy, I have not been on the site much at all and haven't responded to you. I'm so sorry about that. It's such good news that your PET looked good. I am holding you in my thoughts as always. Thinking of you, G.
-
Nancy,
thank you for that update. SO happy there is some good news amongst the ick.
-
Nancy, I too missed your post. I had a revision surgery done on 10/14 so was a bit out of commission. So glad to hear the PET looked good!
-
Nash, I'm glad your surgery is over and hope the recovery is going well. I really appreciate the PleoPal wishes you sent. Think about you so often. Hugs, G.
-
Thank you, Gitane, hugs back xo

good news Illinoisnancy. How did you find the skin problem, btw?
-
What wonderful news! Enjoy those grand babies!

Congratulations on 11 years, Gitane! I'm right behind you going on 9 years. I've always enjoyed your gracious, reassuring posts. I'm wishing all good things for you and all of us who have heard, "You have cancer."
