Hi everyone. I just got my first punch biopsy. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it is a little sore. There seems to be a lot of confusion as to what is going on with my right and left breast. I've gotten many tests done before this, and still didn't come up with a clear answer. So far all I have been told is that I have "inflammation". But I have other weird signs that might be pointing to IBC (inflammatory breast cancer). My nurse practitioner did the punch biopsy on my right breast, where there's a light pink patch of skin. Only one punch, and no stitches. Now I have to wait for the results and it is making me nervous. By the way, I am 33 years old and do not have children. My family has a history of cancer, but not breast cancer. Do any of you have IBC? How old are you, and what were your symptoms?

Official launch course there are some of us at a BC site who are IBC. We are few though as IBC is only between 1%-3% of all DIAGNOSED types of BC.

"Inflammation" means a multitude of probabilities/possibilities. Especially when both breast are involved. What all 'tests' have you had done? If you are talking about a 'pink spot', have you seen a Dermatologist?.

I did not have a skin punch but FNB for DX - no skin issues. 7 days from first 'sign' til DX and then 17 days til starting TX.

Yes - I am IBC (you can look at my posts). I was 63 when DX, am now 70 and still NED (No Evidence of Disease). No family HX of any type of cancer for at least 4 generations.
