Sudden side effects after getting herceptin

I've been getting herceptin every three weeks for over 9 years. I've never had any issues- my nails sometime split. For my last two treatments, I've run fevers, had severe chills, head ache and body aches. Anyone suddenly get unusual side effects?


Has my body just had enough?

    Nine years, my hero!

    I'm no where near as far into it as you are. I have not experienced similar until this week's infusion but my partner had a really awful cold that I am hoping he passed on to me. I have fever, chills, aches and congestion. I'm hoping your side effects are just coincidental.

    I completed 18 Herceptin treatments two weeks ago. That's supposed to be the end of treatment for me. I had flu-like symptoms every time -- body aches, chills, fatigue  -- for a few days. 

    Do you mind if I ask why you've had to take Herceptin for nine years?

    I will be on herceptin until I have a recurrence or my body no longer tolerates it. It's due to my staging
