question about my report - nervous and waiting (BIRADS 4c)
Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here. Quite nervous about the results I obtained yesterday from my doctor.
I am 36 years old - single, no kids
Family history - Cousin diagnosed with stage 3 BC and tested positive for BRCA (which unknown). Grandmother died of uterine cancer.
I have had a mammogram and report was very high dense tissue. Had following and found two lumps on my left breast. Ultrasound report is below. They put me on antibiotics for a few days and i was getting chills, my breasts were warm, tenderness, shooting pain, throbbing. Last night I had an appointment with a breast specialist and I have an MRI in two weeks. She wants to wait for the biopsy until after the MRI.
Any help understanding the results below would be appreciated! (I understand Cat 4C is possible suspicion of cancer but not proven).
My Results....
----
"There is a circumscribed complex hypoechoic and very vascular circumscribed mass measuring 12 x 5 x 14mm with macrolobulated shape, oriented parallel and in close contiguity with the dermis. Its origin as being either intra or extra dermal appears ambiguous, as the more medial aspect of the mass appears to have some continuity with the overlying dermis, but the rest of the mass protrudes posteriorly and could represent an extra dermal mass of breast tissue origin."
BIRADS: Susp Abnormality - BX (Cat 4 Susp) - The patient is sent Letter C

Sending my hopes that all comes out well and your fears are for not. It is true this is the hardest part, the waiting. May you walk with plenty of support during. If you find in the coming days you need to be here you will find true support and compassion. My thoughts are with you and my prayer

I have an MRI on the 21st. but my doctor won't give me the biopsy until after the MRI and she may not want to do it for another 6 months since she can't "fully" feel the lump even though the ultrasound shows it and its there (3 doctors have felt it).
when i researched the terms in my results...it doesn't seem good

thank you all for the support thus far! oddly I'm not scared, i just wish knew an answer and started to attack it and move forward. i don't do well with "wait and see"

Just want to reassure you that MRI is the best tool to screen dense breasts. Others are just not accurate. Try not to worry until you get those results. As we all know that's easier said than done. Good luck and keep us posted...

i guess i am overly anxious because the more i read, the more its overwhelming. i found out today my grandmother died of uterine cancer before the age of 50. my cousin (brca positive) was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer before age of 45/50. (both on my dad's side)
im concerned because the breast surgeon said if i test positive for bcra 1 or 2, i will have a higher risk of ovarian cancer and i will need to remove them.
the problem i have now...i was diagnosed with endometriosis 4 yrs ago. i lost my left ovary and left tube (ironically my breast lump is on my left side too) so I'm being hit with a double whammy.
