Considering having my implant removed

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, please forgive me if I'm in the wrong place. A bit of background, I have had Crohn's disease most of my life, but have never had joint pain... until my mastectomy. A few weeks after the expander was in place I started having debilitating joint pain. My remicade infusion helped dramatically the first time, post surgery. Then I had the permanent saline implant surgery, and the joint pain has been getting worse. The remicade didn't help as much. I have chronic joint and muscle pain every day now. I'm beginning to wonder if the implant is causing this. Has anyone experienced bad joint pain or an exacerbation of an autoimmune disease with an implant? Has anyone found relief from this kind of pain after having the implant removed?

Thanks

Hi Liz, What were your symptoms before your emergency revision surgery?

    Thanks for your response,
