Biotin question.

My wife has had 3(of 4) chemo treatments. As expected, most of her hair has fallen out. We've been told that biotin can help the regeneration process. Should she start it now, before the final chemo treatment, or would biotin interfere with the chemo?

I took Biotin from day one. It helps with hair, skin, and nails. I still take it. I started using Ovation hair products as soon as I finished my last chemo. My hair came back in thick and healthy.

All supplements and drugs, including over-the-counter ones, should always be cleared first with her Medical Oncologist and with her Radiation Oncologist.

I've taken it the whole time, too. Head, brows, and lashes growing back. Nails are catching up. But like everyone said, check with the MO. Also watch what Biotin you get to make sure it's high quality.

I am taking bIotin daily. I got mine at Trader Joe's. I will be having my 3/12 chemo this Wednesday. Have lost a good portion of my hair. Will have the rest taken care of tomorrow. I am using OPI Nail Envy for my nails. Hoping they stay around
