TNBC in women under 30

Hi,

I am newly diagnosed, as of 9/4/16, with stage 3a TN IDC at age 28 and was wondering what other people out there may have gone through with a similar diagnosis. As with most TN's my ki67 is high at >90% so it's growing fast. I start neoadjuvent treatment on 11/30 with surgery and potentiometer radiation to follow. I also need to get a port put in (on the dr. To-do list) which is kind of scary.

I'm interested to learn about your experience, treatment, reccurance (hopefully not), and possible pregnancy after. I am part of the ISPY 2 trial and will find out soon if I was put on the portion of patients who receive Talazoparib so if you have experience with that as well would love to hear it. Also any advice or tips you have would be nice.

Since not a lot of people get breast cancer at this age there aren't many people to talk to so I appreciate your input and time.

*If this helps here is what I will be given for chemo (I know there is a specific order but I can't quite remember)*

Taxol

Pembrolizumab

Cytoxan

Neulasta

Doxorubicin/Adriamycin

Talazoparib

Hi There- I cant really comment on your situation because.....wait for it....Im a little older than you (diagnosed at 33) but wanted to say hi and welcome you here. I know there are others under 30 on here. Have you found your way around to the different forums like your chemo start month group or the cancer under 30 groups? Anyway, welcome and all the best- it sucks you had to join our merry band, but this is the best place to be!

    Hi littleblueflowers,

I haven't seen those groups, but I will dig a little more as I'm still getting used to navigating the site. Thanks for the tip about those other groups and warm welcome to the club no one wants to join :) hope all is going well or you so far!

Hi there, I am sorry you joining us, the threads calling TN and calling TN UK are very active threats with a lot of knowledge and experience. i am not under 30, but know of sisters under 30 that fought and won this battle.

keep positive and don't forget the less stress you have, better the fight!! you can do it!
