Trying to find it if anyone has had tissue expanders and rads (delayed immediate) reconstruction. And did you have any issues with the expanders becsue of rads. Also if I get delayed reconstruction do they do something to leave the skin for reconstruction after treatment? And what type is available after I've healed from sugrey and treatmen. My surgeon said tissue expanders are fine and then implants after treatment but I've read otherwise. And wondering if I should get nothing now and recon later

Those are all really good questions. Have you had a consult with a plastic surgeon that will be doing the reconstruction? That would be my advise. There are a lot of options but all depend on your individual situation and surgeon.

I had a few consultations at different doctors (as part of my second and thrid opinions) and was told that radiation can give bad results to the implants but hay tissue expanders were "ok" but ive heard that some doctors won't do reconstruction (implant or expanders) at all until after treatment.
