Anyone doing ISPY-2 trial or Keytruda?

Options

I may be doing this trial in a couple of weeks. I don't know if I will be getting the med or not (80% do, 20% do not). The computer picks randomly. They will let us know if we are getting the drug or not before we start.

Anyway--I have seen interesting things about this med and immunotherapy in general. Even if I don't get the med, they do extra gene testing, extra MRIs and biopsies which will all give extra info that I wouldn't have otherwise, so that is part of the reason I decide to do it.

Just wondering if anyone is doing this as well.

I am doing this trial in Mayo, Rochester, MN. I just found out today that I am not getting Keytruda, but instead I am getting a PARP inhibitor called Talazoparib (pill form daily) and Irinotecan (IV every other week) and not paclitaxel. they may use that in the future if needed.

I believe this has been found to really help in BRCA types but also in non-BRCA types so they are doing this trial for TNBC and possibly inflammatory triple negatives. http://www.ispytrials.org/blog/post/keytruda-talazoparib-joins-ispy-2 I believe you do have to be Mammprint High Risk though.

After reading up on Talazoparib, I am very excited about it. I don't always believe 100% of what the people behind new drugs are saying because stats can be skewed in certain ways, and they are there to make money as well, but it does look quite promising. So I am very happy to be in this trial. :)
