I had my sterotactic biopsy on Oct 11, it came back benign breast tissue with focal
secretory changes and microcalcifications. Two days after I developed a hard lump above the area where the radiologist cut for the biopsy. My nipple is so sensitive to touch with stabbing sharp pain thru out the breast. I spoke with the nurse navigator last week and she told me to rotate between ice and heat. I'm tolerating the ice but the heat seems to make it hurt more. She also gave me a referral to a breast surgeon. My gyn Dr said that that's who I would need to see. But the B/S is going on vacation and her next appointment isn't until Nov 29. I was looking in the mirror and when I raised my right arm same side as biopsy and at the site my breast has a big indentation. Also when I press the lump it sends excruciating pain to my nipple.I don't know what to do. I'm in so much pain and to top it off the orthopedic surgeon believes I have a torn labrum in my left shoulder. Any helpful advice is greatly appreciated.

They probably have another breast surgeon covering for yours who is on vacation. I would press the issue and have it looked at soon. It could be infected.

Hi Meow13, thanks for responding. I was waiting on the nurse to call me back. But no return call today. She has been good at returning my calls. Hopefully I should hear from her Monday. Your right I should press the issue. Because honestly I'm scare I really hope there is no infection.Really looking forward to talking to nurse because right now I'm not under any Drs care.
