Hey everyone... I'm late with my UPDATE but I decided to go with lumpectomy and NO RADS! Total reversal I know from some of my posts considering DBL MX, but I decided that the DNA Oncotype test I had was convincing enough plus the negative genetic test we all have in my family to take my chances with this conservative approach. I fell in the gray area for whether radiation would be beneficial and I chose to take my chances.

Just had my one year check with MRI and 3D Mammogram and all clear!

My sister was diagnosed with Stage II node positive cancer right after I was diagnosed with DCIS and she was told that her breasts were so dense, that even after they diagnosed her node positive, they had so much trouble locating the primary tumor due to her density level that DBL MX was recommended. She had chemo followed by the surgery, then radiation. She is doing great

that's great. I haven't been presented with my options yet but I am not thrilled at the thought of radiation or tamoxifen, which seems to be pretty standard. I also want to do lumpectomy to preserve my natural breasts. I am afraid to voice my opinions and I'm not quite sure my family would understand. At the very least, I want to delay treatment to try to have a child, then revisit in a year or so
