Looks like a fun time in San Antonio!!
Gorgeous weekend, so I got in a 60 mile ride yesterday and 30 miles today. Nothing too challenging other than distance. I also finally bought all the "change the flat yourself" tools, so a portable pump that fits in my rear bicycle bag and the tire thingies. Mine are particularly miserable to change because of the type of tire and wheel I have.
The good news about yesterday's "experience" is that I got to learn what types of portable pumps don't work all that well and what you should get. So I should be set for future "experiences" and so I don't ever get seriously stranded as nearly happened yesterday when I was 20 miles from nowhere.
Feel just marvelous from all the exercise and sunshine. Attaching a picture from yesterday's ride. There is snow on the middle peaks, so winter really is coming. - Claire
-
Impressive, Claire_in_Seattle ! Both the photo and the amazing distances you cycle.
-
Love all the SA pictures! So nice that you got to have lunch with the Hill Country ladies. How was your 5k? I know ya'll are having a blast.
Scottie: Great pumpkins! The spider eyes are fabulous.
Nats: Your picture needs to be in a flyer for next year's run. It shows the spirit of why you participate in it. The picture is beautiful.
TH and Claire: Nice fall colors.
Yesterday was a huge festival in my town. I was on my feet all day walking, walking, walking. Today dh, ds, and I hiked at a state park on 4.4 mile strenuous trail. My feet are hurting now but it was well worth it because the weather was perfect!
-
Had a great time today with the ladies that came to SA! It was lovely to meet you all, and thank you so much for extending the invitation to us!
-
Was going to workout over the weekend, but didn't feel so great. Will get to it tonight.

You all look like you're having the best time - chatting, eating and shopping - it doesn't get much better than that!!! Hope you all had a margarita for me!
-
Just got an email with the race results from the draft horse race - and I got first place in my age group!!!
(Of course there were only two of us in my age group, but I'm not going to mention that nearly as much.)
-
Congratulations, Mary, a win is a win! A little Spanish Mission touring this afternoon.
-
Got my workout in tonight.
-
What fun you must be having in San Antonio. Lovely pictures. Eat one of those puffy tacos for me!
Yesterday I went for a 45 minute walk around the lake and also mowed my lawn 35.
-
Love all the pictures! Did you buy the blouses? Cute! Looks like you're having great weather.
Nats: Congratulations on 1st place. The other person can brag that s/he got 2nd place.
Mommy: Glad you were feeling better to get your workout in tonight.
No formal exercise today.
-
Pushed my workouts from 15-20 minutes to a full 30. Last two workouts have gone a bit over the new mark because I want to finish the song my IPod is on while working out.
-
Oh, I love old missions! Looks like you all are enjoying yourselves!
-
I love old missions too! Someday I want to do a road trip to visit every one in California and Baja....Looks like a great time.
-
Just coming back from an interesting bus tour of the Hill Country, where we toured President Lyndon Johnson's ranch andthe historic town of Fredericksburg (where we ate German food and window shopped).
-
-
Looks like you bought one of those pretty blouses, Ruth! Looks good! Love all the pix and everyone's smiling faces.
Just finished a nice half hour run. Loving the cool weather.

Patoo, sweetandspecial, and I braved the Tower of the Americas.

Badger: Love your tee shirt also!
These pictures are great!
Nats: I'm loving this cool weather also!
Had a fun picnic today with dh and a good friend. Perfect weather. Walked/ran this evening. Delightful!
-
Looks like everyone is having a great time in SA. Ruth, love the orange top!!
-
Ruth, Patoo and sweetandspecial: Did you climb up the tower? That will really count as your daily exercise !😳Or, take the elevator up?🤗
-
Another workout planned for tonight. Hubby also plans on working out so I probably will do mine right after his
-
Thank goodness, they don't let you climb the tower! The stairs are for emergency use only.
-
M0mmyof2, you are going for it - great! Blinkie, sending you support and light, this has not been a easy time for you so
hugs to you. Mary, love the horse photo and how cool is first place! Nice photo Claire, HeidiHill, got my boy home for term break and not studying enough, ugh. SA Gathering, looks terrific & tasty and like you are having fun.
BB this am and BB tonight.
-
Dear buddies - Thanks for being so supportive of me while I have been waiting for PET results. Good news: bones seem fine, lungs seem well enough. Armpit appears to have some radiation damage, so the radiation oncologists are going to review the scan results.
It's been pouring rain here so no walks in the woods. I'm ironing. That, and walking from the clinic parking ramp to the periodontist's office is the extent of my exercise today. Whooo hoo.
Love the pictures from the lucky ones who went to San Antonio.
