Biopsy Requested
In April of this year I went for my annual mammogram. It came back with something "questionable" in left breast. So I had to have a bilateral breast MRI done. This was 2 weeks ago, there were some scheduling issues and insurance issues. MRI said left breast clear but something "questionable" on right breast. Need to get an ultrasound and possible biopsy. Went to ultrasound appointment last week and the tech and doctor at the facility were both scratching their heads about what they were seeing. Sent me the report is say I have an "abnormality" that requires a biopsy. So now I need to schedule this with my Doc.
What I saw on the screen of the ultrasound was a big black area that I was thinking may have been scar tissue from my surgery. Tech said could be fluid. Doctor couldn't seem to wrap his head around the fact that I've already had surgery a year ago. This makes me nervous. I'm trying not to over react or over think it, but I know all of you will understand.

Frustrating that they could not give you a better idea. Did they give you a birads?
When do you see your doc

What is a birads?
I call my doctor on Monday to talk with her care coordinator. My doctor is only at the office I go to on Wed and Fri.

After a mammogram and ultrasound, they will assign a Birads score. If it is a 1 or 2, you typically return in normal time... A year. If a 3, most likely benign, you usually return in 3-6 months. If it is a 4, it is suspicious, so they want a biopsy. If it is s 5, they are pretty certain it is cancer

I did not get a birad score but, the letter I got from the imaging place said it was needing a biopsy.

Talked to doctor office this morning. I have to go back to imaging place to get an MRI Guided Biopsy. Waiting for the call with an appointment.

The biopsy turned out to be scar tissue.
Coincidentally, I went for my annual mammogram yesterday, waiting on those results.
