I still have not received my results back for my breast mri . I'm guessing the longer wait means everything is okay right? I called where I had it done and they will not tell me anything.

How long had it been? Have you called the ordering doctor's office to see if they've received the report yet? Sometimes no news is good news because truly concerning results tend to get handled more quickly. But sometimes being a squeaky wheel is necessary, and it's unfair to make you or anyone wait any longer than necessary if the results are available. I'd call your doc's office and find out if they have the results and how to proceed.

    hi

If you are concerned about the length of time give your doctor a call. Don't go into the weekend worrying when a simple phone call may help you.

    Sending positive vibes your way

Thank you ladies. I called Tuesday and they said they didn't have results. Called the office where I had my mri snd they said they sent results over to my doctor to discuss. I haven't heard anything.

ladybug, I would call the doc's office back and tell them what the mri place said. Chances are everything's okay, but I'm concerned about the frustration and worry not knowing is causing you. This needs to be straightened out. I would call the doc's office again. If they still don't have it, call the mri place back and explain that it seems to be lost and ask them to re-send it. It's unfair to continue to make you wait because someone can't find your results.

it is FRIDAY. call your doctor's office, say that on Tuesday the MRI facility said they had been sent and you are calling to make sure the MRI results have been received and you would appreciate learning the results before the weekend. Depending on how the call goes, the results BELONG TO YOU say you are coming over to pick them up.

this just happened with my ultrasound. I called my gp in the AM. They didn't have it. I called the imaging facility right away. They said they sent it. Turned out they sent it to the wrong office. I called my GP 15 minutes after to make sure they received it. It was there. Another 3 hours for the doctor to call back w results. But that was ok. I'm not his only patient! Call back!!!!

You have a right to all of your medical records. Go to the MRI facility and ask for a copy of the report. I did this just last Friday and read the report before the Dr saw it. Fortunately it was good news. I don't meet with my Dr until Thurs and the wait was killing me.
