Low white blood cell count before even starting Chemo

Before starting chemo my White blood cell count is at 3.3...after first round of AC(14 days apart), went in for my 2nd dose and my White blood cells dropped to 2.2 ( i did take the neulasta shot x 5) and have been fighting a cold that I got from my kids. My ONC postponed treatment one week. Werent the shots supposed to help with this and if Im starting this process with an already low WBC...am I destined to be dealing with this through out my treatment? Just worried
