    Sorry you are having difficulties.

I have a similar situation. Different side effects, but unable to tolerate the meds.

I made it just past 2 years on tamoxifen. Tinnitus, fatty liver, pre-diabetes, 45 pound weight gain, plantar fasciitis in right heel, muscle/joint/bone pain and a brain fog so bad I could no longer do simple math in my head. I was miserable and no one was listening. Threw it all away and fired my medical team.

    New team:

Tried letrozole/femara next. Shortness of breath, muscle fatigue/weakness, neuropathy in hands,edema...to name a few. Discontinued.

Currently on break from exemestane due to tinnitus, uncontrolled anger, felt like I was ready to jump out of my skin, severe fatigue, increased sugar numbers, 7 day migraine...now I have to decide whether to retry exemestane to see if SEs are gone or try Arimadex.

I wish I could help with an answer, but wanted to share that you are not alone. I have no idea what to do next. All I keep hearing is I have to be on something because my risk of recurrence is too great.

I just want quality of life.

I hope you are able to find an answer.

Cataracts are a well-known and common side effect of tamoxifen. Is that what you mean by “blind” in that eye? If so, cataract surgery is practically painless and amazingly effective. My "de-cataracted" eye is now 20/20, when it was 20/80 with astigmatism before my cataracts developed.
