I am so sorry you are so frightened. But there are a bunch of things that evidently your doctor didn't tell you that you should know.
1. 80% of all lumps are benign on mammogram. Of the lumps that go on to biopsy, 80% of those lumps are benign. Those of us who are here are a very small, selective group
2. Breast cancer grows slowly. Waiting 2 months for treatment is not a big deal to docs, although it is to us! It took me 8 weeks to get diagnostic mammograms, 3 weeks to get a biopsy, and 6 weeks from there to get surgery. No one was worried except me. And I am almost 9 years out, and I'm fine
3. 8mm is a small lump. It is very unlikely to have spread, and that is the only way you can die of BC.
Even if you have cancer, it is unlikely that waiting until January will cause you any harm
If I had it to do over, my house would have been so much cleaner. Find something, anything that will get your mind off the lump. And, if you're like me, get your hand off it too.I am glad you will have health insurance soon. Be honest with your doc about your fears, and see if there is anything they can do to get you to cover expenses between now and January.
Be gentle with yourself. Cancer, and the fear of cancer, is a bitch

Sue's given you excellent advice! I would also suggest that you research local chapters of the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen and other organizations to see if you can get some assistance in paying for the medical bills you've already incurred. Your local hospital may also have a social worker who can guide you to resources. I know how worrisome these expenses can be but researching the question may help distract you from worrying about the results of a biopsy. Good luck.

thank you for responding to my question waiting is hard enough but knowing I can't do anything without insurance makes it even worse. I can't get rid of this sick feeling I can't eat trouble sleeping and I still have to wait till Tuesday for the biopsy I don't know if I can do this I'm not strong enough.

I think the waiting is so hard because you just can't do anything about it. Put that nervous energy to good use. Call everyone. The hospital billing department. The health insurance office in your state. Hospital social workers. Breast cancer resources in your area. Call them and talk to them about your situation and see what can be done. It may be that they cant do anything but just taking action might make you feel better about it. It might make you feel like you have more c

You may qualify for the National Early Detection Breast & Cervical Cancer screening program, but it has to be BEFORE diagnosis:
https://www.cdc.gov/cancer/nbccedp/
-
There is a Web site called www.needymeds.com.
-
Some states have Breast and Cervical Cancer Programs that include both screening and treatment. Check with your county health department, they should have someone in charge of Women's Health Programs who should be able to find out what your state offers.
-
Before you sign up for obama care, some states have specific medicaid programs for breast cancer and cervical cancer, Florida is one of them.

Thats the link to give you an example. I hope that this helps in some way!!
