Vaginal Discharge on tamoxifen and lupron?

I am on monthly lupron shots plus tamoxifen and get a lot of vaginal discharge at times...sorry if this is TMI...just wondering if it's normal? I always thought the discharge was associated with ovulation so I am worried that maybe the shots aren't quite working to suppress my ovaries? I've stopped getting my period, but I would think things, would, ahem..."dry up" as well.

My OC says vaginal discharge is a side effect of the Tamoxifen. Lots of women on this site who take Tamoxifen have also written that they've experienced the same.

I just thought the ovarian suppression would change things, since it shuts down my ovaries.

I don't know since I'm not doing ovarian suppression. You might try posting this on the Bottle o' Tamoxifen thread. It is a pretty active thread and I know some who post there regularly are doing both.

lm not having ovarian suppression either but my ovaries aren't currently working dut to chemo and I have the discharge too. As long as it's not bloody or brownish I think it is a normal side effect of the medicine

I'm on Tam and discharge started after about 2 yrs...no ovaries since 2000. Ask your MO if you are concerned:)
