For Members Waiting for Test Results; random questions
Hi I am waiting for my u/s core bx results along with a few new friends here.
I have been thinking about many things to pass the time. 3 of my good friends of 35 plus years (2 are in their young 50's and 1 who is 45) have cancer. 3 of the 4 of us were diagnosed in the last 3 weeks - I am the last one up at bat.....
Would you care to share your story; a summary of your story? Anything you post, I am grateful to read. Were you tired, how are you passing the time, what is the best advice you have read/been given, do you like your doctors, did you or will you seek out a second opinion, have you thought about Eastern treatment for cancer? What were your results? How did you handle same?
Just random thoughts and perhaps some of your generous replies will help others/me as well as give me food to share with my 3 friends, my 3 corners in "real life".
All the best.

hey KTF!
I'm waiting for my biopsy results. It's been a whirlwind this last few months. Felt a lump, dr felt it, tech felt it...couldn't be seen on US. They opted for excisional biopsy without knowing what the tumor was. 2 weeks before surgery another one popped up on my other breast. Okay. One at a time ladies! Haha. Being younger than 40, I really felt 'dismissed' by the imaging technician. Her parting words to me after the second US was 'your probably just lumpy' and then she cancelled the mammogram the dr ordered for a baseline. Okay, thanks lady! Ugh.
We'll all eventually find out what's going on, and the waiting sucks! But your in good company! Keep your spirits up! I wish you and your friends the best

Thanks E Cupcake! I love your attitude : ) - you took the high road there ; ) - I would be cursing a wee bit! I hope that you eventually had that baseline! I change diagnostic centers because of the factory like setting and high stressed employment environment there and luckily found a much better fit with a breast clinic.
Wishing you all the best and will keep an eye out for your updates!
Enjoy your day!

hello!
Extremely new to the forum but I'm in desperate need for someone to help.
I have an 8 cm mass in my right breast.
Had an ultrasound where the tech told me she didn't see lesions but wants me to have a mammogram just in case.
Mammogram came back benign but they found a mass behind it on my chest. So I was referred off to get a breast mri.
Here's where it gets weird. After over a week I finally called my doctors office. I'm in the military so the sergeant at the front desk told me it hadn't come in yet. After speaking to my higher ups, the command of said doctors office ( the boss ), an hour after I talked to the sergeant, said everything came back negative. Not a cyst. Good to go. But this was only referring to the mass in my right breast. I apologize for the lack of terminology but these are the words he used
I'm supposed to get a call to get what ever this is removed but he never told me what it actually was nor did I get answers to whatever is on my chest.
If this is normal by all means tell me to drink some wine and smile. I'm just so stuck with this notion that something isn't right and I still have no answers.

Hi Lowilliams1, I am not sure but I am sorry that you are in a state of limbo still because the anxiety is not good for the body, mind and soul.
I think I see a thread by you and I will look over there.
Hoping it is nothing and of course call your doctor, have a 15 min. appointment, bring a friend to take notes and have your questions ready.
Wishing you the best.
