hello. I had quit posting here since I was doing so good but sad to say I am back in the crappy hospital . Got here yesterday. Being treated for sepsis. Spent 12 hours in er yesterday waiting on a bed in icu. They finally got me stabilized enough to move me to a regular room. Had a nurse sat in the room with me yesterday but today I am so much better. No nurse spending the whole day with me. Yea. Weird having someone watch you sleep. I have been doing so awesome do this illness was a total surprise. Wed was feeling awesome snd took a nap. Woke up miserable and it got worse from there. Dr said probably 3 days iv antibiotics and clear liquid then a couple days oral antibiotic and full diet then I can go home. Hoping for a short stay.
Hugs to all
-
Oh no, that you are in the hospital! Oh yea, that are you feeling better!
-
Oh Patty so sorry you are in the hospital. You've been doing so great. I hate this disease! Those antibiotics will kick sepsis to the curb and you'll be back home soon!! Thinking of you and sending you healing vibes!! Hugs, Cathy
-
Ouch, Patty!
I'm glad no news from you was good news and sad to hear about the sepsis & hospital.
Sleep and heal and know that we're here cheering you on from afar.
warm healing wishes, Patty, Stephanie

Sending up healing thoughts and prayers to you Patty (((hugs)))

Aw GEEZ Peppermint! I had to go and look it up... Sepsis doesn't sound like it is good.... but I AM glad you are in the hospital to be taken care of! I think your immune system, if you have any, is compromised. Now THAT statement is from someone who knows nothing about everything.
I'm sorry you are feeling puny...You must not be eating enough milk-toast and drinking enough chocolate cokes. See how much I know? What are "they" doing for you? If you need me to come bail you out, just let me know......... How are the boys doing? I think of you lots.... Love you! xoxo
-
You see, Ms. Chevy...we can't turn our heads away from Patty for few seconds. The girl falls apart! What are we going to do with you, young lady? I agree about the zilchimmune system. By the way, that's a unsolicited second opinion from someone who also knows nothing. I have a convertible ready to help you with the escape:
Then we all can go to beach therapy, which should be covered by our health insurance.
-
Hi Patty! Waving. This is me and DD. (The sea lions are a poster). Get better soon.
-
Feline. Looking great. Your dd looks much like you
excellent pics. I would love to escape
I agree zilch immune system. Didn't even know I was sick. Have been doing great !!!
-
I know Loverly....! We just have a hard time handling that kid! She goes and gets sick, and doesn't even know it.... She really must be.... and I know we just want to help her....
You guys, I have MICE! Damnit! I KNOW they are outdoors.... we see them all the time by the ditch.... So I bought some mouse stuff.... those bait blocks.... And they seemed to just run around them! So I chopped them up, and put them in little containers, and put them EVERYwhere! Not the mice.... the bait blocks! It better work....! It's either that, or a little gun! I don't want to get mouse traps, or those sticky things... I just want them dead & gone. I don't want to get rid of them, while they are still kicking.... Eeeeeeeeeeeks!
So I'm watching Cops.... and drinking a left-over Starbucks.... Just painted the base of the house on the North side.... You have any ideas about the mice? They are on borrowed time!
-
lol. Chevy. I've missed your humour. Glad you clarified you didn't cut up the mice. That's what I was thinking. Like leaving little pieces of dead mice will be an example to the others to leave. Lol. You are the best. !! Crazy people on Cops. I swear anytime they film from Arkansas they find the most redneck , toothless people we have.
Feeling pretty good this afternoon. Still on clear liquid diet and man I am hungry.
-
I think it's GOOD that you are hungry little Sister....! Liquids? Aw geez... Like what? Vodka, Ameretto? Whiskey perhaps? That should fix you!
You mean like juices? I TOLD you milk-toast would be okay.....
I just ironed! I mean IRONED! The two shirts my Husband wore about 3 months ago.... and when I washed them, I hid them... Now they are nice and ironed.... they are probably 40 years old! And not even worn out! I could have just sent them to the "give-away" place.... but he might have seen them.
Okay.... go rest and drink your fluids....
-
Patty, I am glad they caught the sepsis early as it could have been so much worse! here's hoping they spring you quickly. Feline, what a great pic! Your DD is quite adorable!
-
Patty
I saw on bone mets that you are back in the hospital! Good to hear you are feeling a bit better and hungry. I should sneak something in for you....oh wouldn't that be great? Hope your stay is not long.
-
For you Patty.....
-
beautiful. I love fall
Yes chevy those liquids would help or kill me. Lol.
Thanks for the support all
Started yesterday have blood and blood clots in stool. Having diarhea so much I don't even know it's coming. . Just realize oops I am soaked Okay maybe tmi. Finally this afternoon they took a sample and I am waiting nervously. Of course my mind goes straight to progression. Ugh hate waiting
-
No no no progression. Not acceptable. You have been doing too well! Has to be something else. Has to be!
Hang in there kiddo. Keep us posted. Sending hugs and healing vibes!

trying to focus on how great I've been doing. No way could it be progression. Will have a gi consult in the morning. They had lab come draw more blood then came back and had me sign a form to give me blood if needed. Said the volume is low ???? I guess that means they are concerned I am losing too much blood. Well I gladly signed the form. Just thinking if this had happened a few months ago I would not have agreed to it. Was feeling so hopeless and was thinking death would be good. It would fall Into my dnr request. Now I WANT to live.
I am so very hungry. Hoping tomorrow they get me off this clear liquid diet. I am craving chicken tenders. Mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli and cheese, Mac and cheese , cherry pie. Oh my I could go on and on. Yum yum. Again just a few months ago I had to force myself to eat and even had to start writing down when I are because I would just forget and maybe go a couple days without eating. Except ice. I love to chomp on Ice. If tricks my brain into thinking I actually eating. Funny how things could change so drastically.
-
No progression. Wonder if the increased Xeloda dose contributes to the GI problem. Hope they figure out how to make you better soon. Here are some photos to relax your mind. I love fall too. Isn't He creative?
-
oh Loverly. These are awesome. !!! He is indeed creative Woke up in the night feeling blah and seen these. Ahh such relaxation. Thanks.
-
Hope you are cleared to eat & eat tomorrow!
-
-
-
beautiful truly. Funny how a picture can change your whole attitude. Bet I get more sleep in that bed then thus hospital
-
Oh Patty, so sorry to hear of this setback.
I was so happy hearing of all your good days and enjoyment with your family.
Sending healing thoughts and prayers. Love, Madelyn
-
patty--I agree, that bed looks so inviting! Hospital beds, not so much. I HATE to hear you are back in the hospital. I understand and feel your pain with the diarrhea. Are they checking for c-diff? I refuse to think it's progression. Maybe a random virus. Glad you are willing to fight through this! Having that taste of the good life (well better life) was such a blessing! Hoping you get back to it soon! And you get to eat something yummy!! Always in your pocket ❤️
-
kjones. Great to see you. Haven't seen you post often lately. Are the kiddos back in the school swing yet.
Well the dr approved me for a regular diet at 10 am. Yea. !!! Unfortunately the dr hasn't changed it yet in the computer so it's looking like I'll have to wait Til supper or eat a tuna fish sandwich. Eww. Gonna use a lifeline and call a friend to bring me some grub if necessary. Still waiting on kitchen to decide if they can bring up a late tray. Bummer. I know I shouldn't complain over something so small but man I am hungry. Lol
-
That's great news! Have DH bring in a feast. You don't want yucky hospital food anyway! Love and hugs, Cathy.
