Breast pain and swelling

I didn't realize or think anything of it but ever since my period started on September 15th, my breasts have been really tender. Only just a few months ago I started getting this pms symptom, I normally don't have any symptoms. I'm worried because they are still tender and heavy and a little bigger than normal. I've seen things about hormonal imbalance (for instance: high estrogen levels) but I don't think I have enough symptoms for it to be that. Although I do have quite irregular periods. I thought maybe it was my bra so I switched it but it just seems to have gotten worse. I'm not too worried that it's breast cancer because there are no lumps or any other breast cancer symptoms but I thought this was the best place to ask why this tenderness isn't going away. And if I should just see a doctor about it or if it's something that doesn't require me to.

Dera sabrinaA, Welcome to the community. We are sorry that your concerns brought you here but glad that you reached out. Unfortunately we probably can't answer your question. Our members would probably suggest that you see your doctor, your primary care doctor or your gynecologist, whenever you have a change in your breast health. That is not to suggest that it is anything serious but for the most part having an answer to a symptom can generally ease one's mind. Let us know what you learn. The Mods

Why are you asking this question on a breast cancer board?

Melissa, I've posted this on here because I thought it'd be the best to ask about it. And also because I saw this topic that I posted it in. It is in fac called "Benign Breast Conditions" with the description: "A safe place to worry for members who have not been diagnosed with breast cancer, but have concerns about their breasts."
