Abnormal ultrasound

have had a lump in breast that got a lot bigger, had an ultrasound and the dr said she found abnormal lump (8cm) and abnormal lymph nodes, I said "so cancer" she said yes and I'm having a biopsy and mammogram in a few days , how does she know it's cancer? If it is have I left it to long for it to be treated? Freaking ou

One can't really say it's cancer unless you have you have the biopsy results in.

Sorry you have found yourself here Tam007. It's an anxious time but try not to jump too far ahead. As RN pointed out you need biopsy results to confirm cancer. Stay away from Google. He's a terrible Dr. You will find all the information and support you need here. Please keep us updated. Thinking of you. Donna.
