Dancing with the Stars

Can't believe I forgot to set my DVR, they had kept advertising that we needed to DVR it as it was on at 5pm because football was being shown in prime time, well my next door neighbor had a massive palm tree taken out so we were all outside watching the crane take the tree out at 5pm and I just plain forgot, ughhhhh
-
Cheryl, you should be able to find the dances online somewhere today.
Yes, I liked Amber as well. She looked very pretty in all those sequins. I look forward to seeing more from her and Max.
Seems like some good potential in this season's line up.
Here's a link to the Ryan Lochte story of what happened on the show last night. Two idiots created trouble. Just for that, Ryan got eight of my 13 votes, even tho he didn't dance all that great.

I voted for him for the same reason, Divine.
Cheryl, you should be able to watch it online (with has the advantage of skipping the commercials).
I read that an ABC station in the DC area aired a football game instead; much to the ire of many of their viewers!
-
Overall I thought it was a pretty so-so night. Dancers who stood out for me were Laura & Val, James & Sharna, and Baby Face & Allison.
-
I liked the show, it was entertaining tho no stand out routines, like you said, Ruth. Babyface was the most memorable. It strikes me that there are no cringe-worthy dancers this season (so far). Glad of that! No idea who'll be the first to go.
I hope this doesn't come across too crude, but Jenna Johnson's costume last night.....she had a bunch of dark beads dangling in front of her crotch, while most of the other beads were lighter colored.....and all I could think was it just looked like pubic hair!
-
Oh geez, I wish you hadn't shared that observation, Divine.
-
I just watched the results show and THOROUGHLY enjoyed it; very, very good on all levels. It seems like the whole crew have already become good friends and cheerleaders for each other; which is always nice to see. I thought Rick Perry was pretty goofy when he was running for president so I am surprised at what a fun, jolly, good sport personality he is showing in this contest. I am satisfied with the results.
-
Haha Divine I thought that last night, I was like - how in the heck did that get past the censors. I am watching the results show right now and like Ruth I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
-
Yes, good show! Was this Tuesday just a filler till the fall tv season kicks into high gear? Will they go back to one show a week
-
It sounded liked there was going to be a one hour show next Monday & then Tuesday again.......that's what I thought I heard anyway.
-
I think there are just too many contestants and other content filler to accomplish it all successfully in 2 hours right now. Weed out a few and it will be more manageable. I was satisfied with last night's results.
-
I found out about next week's schedule: Monday is a one hour show due to the presidential debates (7:00 Central Time). Tuesday will be a two hour results show (7:00-9:00 Central).
-
Thanks for the info, Ruth! They'll be rushing thru that hour on Monday!
-
I started watching DWTS this season, and thoroughly enjoyed it!
-
Meadow, glad you're watching! The best is yet to come
-
I enjoyed the show. I am going to vote quick and watch the debates. More later......
-
Yea, good show.
I cracked up when Vanilla Ice asked Witney ( about the paso doble) "What does that even mean? What language is that?" And SHE the professional said, Mnm...I don't know....Latin?" She was serious!
Laurie was awesome. Not sure who'll go home
-
I hope Rick Perry is the one to go.
-
Ha Ruth I did it in reverse watched the debate the DTWS I love how Maureen was so excited and happy that she did so well. I'm not sure who will be going home Rick should but I think he has a fan base
-
I thought it was nice to have a real fast paced show last night & agreed with all the judges choices for immunity. I thought Ryan had a much improved dance. Yes, if you count dancing ability, Rick should be next (I didn't like him at all politically but have enjoyed his good natured team spirit on this show, so it was good for me to see a different side of him). I have a meeting tonight. Dang!
-
Well no surprise who got voted off. Can't wait to see the Cirque de Soleil show next week
-
I just checked the TV schedule. Monday night is two hours (I am out of town Monday night for a get-together with some old friends.....darn the timing, I like watching live.) Tuesday is a one hour results show (before or after the VP debate, depending on where you live). I like the two night format as I never thought it fair not to be able to count the fans votes as part of that week's dances.
-
Thanks again for the scheduling info, Ruth. I guess it's back to 2 days. That surprises me. The 1 1/2 hour results show was too much, but I think they were just filling till the new season of sit coms drop. Plus the debate threw everything off.
-
Missed the intro and what they've done with Len tonight. Double elimination for tomorrow night.
-
Last week they announced that Len was stepping down due to all the travel. I was out of town last night. Was the show worth going back and watching?
-
I only half watched it but then that's pretty typical for me. I'd watch only if I could skip thru the boring parts. Some of the acrobatics of Cirque du Soleil were good but at the same time distracting. Not sure how they will cram all they want to into one hour tonight
-
I enjoyed the show. It is worth it to find Laurie and Val dancing to a Michael Jackson song. Whoa. And I got chills when they got their scores. Also, James and Sharna wrapped up the show and their routine should not be missed either. Some other nice routines but those two are worth seeking out
I would like to see Marilu and Babyface go.
-
Yes agree with Divine about seeing Laurie and Vals dance it was super duper. Didn't see last nights show as I went to the gym then to a friends to watch the debate and have dinner so was late when I got home and when I went to watch it on the DVR it wasn't there it was Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy so it must have been early again for us, but did see online Emma and Sashas engagement, how cute and adorable was that and to find out they met on Broadway and have been a couple for 5 years and to see Derek run out to them was lovely, Derek has always been his champion, if you go back to old seasons when Sasha was a troupe member Derek always picked him as a dance partner when he needed another male.
-
Yes, the engagement was sweet and the highlight of the evening. I am okay with the results.
-
It was an okay evening. I liked Jana and Gleb best. Laurie seemed out of her element doing the paso. Juliane's hair pulled up and slightly off center looked terrible, like she just did it last moment cuz her hair wouldn't cooperate.
No elimination this week! No show tonight, on to next Monday.
Btw, Sasha and Emma.....i would have never expected them to be a couple
