I had a long talk with my boss on guess about all of my concerns and he pretty much said he would give me all the leeway I needed but we are both in agreement that if it's too overwhelming to come and go, or catch up, then I will just take leave.

I started Chemo 8/26/16 and omg ladies you were right about the fatigue....I am glad that my job isn't physical...b/c I am extremely fatigued....but so far so good...I have been able to work and do the chemo..so like a lot of you said it is "doable"...my family is helping out with the house chores and cooking...b/c when I get home I am spent...I hit my bed and don't get up..lol...I have chemo on Fridays and recupe on the weekend...I have put in for that intermitten fmla...b/c I have 2 more a/c treatments left (which are bi-weekly)...I have 12 weekly treatments of taxol..think imma use my fmla for the Saturdays I have to work...but I heard the taxol isn't as hard as the a/c treatment...I need to see if there is a weekly taxol thread...but thanks again for your insights.

When I was diagnosed with BC in 1997, I worked the entire time and amazed everyone at my office. At that time, I was having one treatment every 3 weeks which I had on Fridays. The hardest part was the 150 mile round trip I had to make for each treatment. howevet, I drove myself and had no problem. After 19 years. I have just been diagnosed with a new primary breast cancer. I am having MRI today snd meeting with surgeon. I don't know for sure what chemo schedule will be, but I think the idea of doing it on Thursday instead of Friday sounds more practical.
