Microcalcifications 5 years after BC
Dear all. I didn't think I'd be posting back on this site. However I went for my 5 year check up tonight expecting to be told I am all clear, the doc doesn't want to see me EVER again and best of all I could give up Tamoxifen. After two years on Tamox, I had endometriosis all over my bowel & bladder, my womb & ovaries had precancerous growths & I ended up having a radical hysterectomy with 4 hour surgery on bladder & bowel!! Anyway, I was rather sideswiped when they found micro calcifications on the same breast I had IDC on 5 years ago (lumpectomy & radiation treatment at time). I now have to have a stereotatic biopsy on Monday. As today is 1 year exactly since my beloved father was diagnosed with a cholangiocarcinoma which took him from outwardly healthy to dead in 10 weeks, I feel rather emotional. Have any of you lovely ladies had a similiar experience post cancer that you are ok to share.
Wishing you all strength & love

I also recently have micro calcifications on the breast I had IDC on 19 years ago. You're ahead of me in the process, I just got spot compression mammogram results today and now have to go for stereotactic biopsy. I don't know when that appt is but hopefully soon. It's so stressful waiting and wondering. I'm trying to remind myself that it's not a certainty that I even have cancer again but that's not always working well. Anyway I'm glad you'll have the biopsy soon and I hope you have good results. This seems like a good forum for sharing and caring, and learning. Take car

Hi SunshineSmile, been thinking about you and hoping your biopsy went well yesterday. How long do you have to wait for the results now? My biopsy is scheduled for Oct 6th.
