i am in Hawaii for three weeks...mostly vacation but some work as well. Lots of hiking in my immediate future, and ocean fun as well. Yesterday I got my exercise towing heavy luggage and walking through airports. Hiking on the agenda today to see the Volcano.
-
Oooo - Hawaii - definitely on my bucket list. I bet there's fabulous hiking there. Have a wonderful time!!
-
Ruth, adorable grand puppy. Nats way to go.
At the gym feeding the Fitbit Surge (growls that her Zip fell out and was lost last Friday. Finished a major work project over the weekend, so hoping to focus on my LE therapy for a month or so.

Dont forget pictures, Octogirl! Have a great vacation.
Walked 25 minutes this evening-trying to fit it in before football
-
Great picture, Mary!
Send Hawaii pictures, Octo, so we can enjoy the trip with you!
Claire, I an jealous of you being in Boston. When we were there last fall, the Union Oyster House was our first stop!
Did some toning yesterday, subbed today & then Zumba and yoga. I am TIRED!
-
Hiked four miles on the Crater Rim and a few other trails today at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. We were still a bit jet lagged (Hawaii doesn't do daylight savings so it is a three hour time difference even for us Californians, this time of year), so took it easy. Planning a more ambitious bit of walking tomorrow. However, you can't beat the view; for the first time in all the times I've been here (did I mention that the Big Island is my favorite place on the planet?) this is the first time I've seen lava visible in the Kilauea Crater (I've seen glow at night before, but the lava is usually too far below the rim to see)....
More pics tomorrow! :-)

Here is one more pic from our hike...for a different perspective...

Mary, you and DH look terrific and good going on the 5k and Octo, enjoying your photos and travel insights too. Claire, reads as a busy and fun travel time for you as well. Delivered BB #74 last night for the 1st. time. Was slightly wonky in a few tracks, yet overall this somewhat cluttered and swift choreography landed correctly for most to understand and accomplish. One of my pink ribbon ladies was in the front and was able to give her specific lower options as she recent went through revision surgery -- knowing the strong shoulder stretches would be too much to bear. Going on this afternoon to work on specific tracks timing as I co-teach tomorrow and want to get this release tighter.

Gorgeous hiking pictures, Octo!
I marked myself off the sub list for today so I could get some things done around home (the beauty of subbing!). I will go to my hybrid class in a few minutes, do yoga tonight & hopefully get a bunch of stuff done in-between!
-
Octo, beautiful pics!! Enjoy your vacation.
I have walked between 30-45 minutes daily since last checking in with the exception of Sunday. I rested. Still on track with eating healthy, as well. Keep on keepin' on, ladies!
-
Yesterday was day 1 week 1 of c25k. Warm up, walk\run, cool down
Today was cross train - 25 minutes on recumbent bike
Sorry I don't mention all you other posters' posts - I'm usually on my little notepad and typing is a pain in the *ss 😝
I do read them all though!
Night sculpted sisters!
-
I also read them all, even when I'm a couple pages behind which is becoming normal for me. You all do inspire me to continue working on my exercise and eating. I usually do something 5-6 days a week though most of it does not register to my fitbit.
Continue the great work my sculpted friends. See some of you in San Antonio in a few weeks.
Night.

A September walk in North Dakota:

Did about three miles today walking
in Hawaii Volcanoes NP, and then succumbed to the call of a Mai Tai.... Here are a few pics.

One more

Octogirl: LOVE all the pictures!
Nats: Nice picture of you and your dh.
Ruth: Looks like fall will be here soon.
Hi All! Friday through Sunday I attended an adult Girl Scout event at one of our Girl Scout camps. My dd, good friend, and her daughter camped in platform tents and signed up for different classes. I made a bluebird house, went really slow in a paddle boat, and made a cool Halloween decoration involving bats and a ghost. Lots of walking and laughing the entire weekend! The four of us entered the costume contest and won a prize (candy)! We were the Scrabble Scouts. I'm holding Sister and dd is holding Honest.

Lovely pictures Octogirl and Ruth. Glad to see you back with us Sweet and yes so looking forward to San Antonio Patoo, it's like a month away woohooooo, Claire your east coast adventure sounds wonderful. Love your picture Wonderland. Wendi good job with the walking as I know it's probably oppressively humid out there in the IE, it's bad enough here in the OC.
Yesterday went to Cardio Dance Party and tonight Grit Strength and CX Works. -
Fun picture, Wonderland. Congratulations on the win!
It's Homecoming Week at the local high school, so the Wednesday Women dressed in the school colors for our walk.
-
hi all, great pix everyone! 6-month follow-up with onc today, all is well. BP 112 / 70 NICE. Weight still ten lbs over where I'd like to be but working on it. Onc asked about exercise and was impressed I had 11K steps for the day (~4 pm). Been on anastrozole two years now with few complaints. He says three more years then done. In my situation, there's no benefit to more than ten years of hormonal tx and I was on tamox for five. Will do a DEXA scan (bone density test) next year.
-
week 1 day 3 of C25K. Walk, walk\run, cool down. 35 minutes total
-
Lots of fun trips going on! Enjoying everyones photos. I forgot my shoes at home so my lunchtime walks went away so I have to squeeze in some evening minutes I only walked 15 minutes yesterday evening but I managed 30 today. I am trying to diet this week after an overeating weekend so I am trying to find the sweet spot where I get enough exercise but dont stir up my appetite. Not easy
Sweet, I am on the Ipad too and my son must have changed the settings so sometimes I have no punctuation, much less spelling. I totally cannot hit the right keys
-
No exciting pics today, instead of hiking I met a friend who moved here to the Big Island a few years ago for lunch.....walked around Hilo, about mile all told. Hiking back on the agenda for tomorrow.
Aloha;
Octogirl

TH I always have to be careful on the iPad it sometimes changes words for me and lots of time when I hit the space bar it just puts an m...... congrats on the good check up Badger.
Tonight did a UJam class
-
on the checkup, badger.
I am going to class & yoga this morning; and, since is a lovely fall day, I will probably dog-nap the grandpuppy for a walk this afternoon.
-
Love everyone's exercise and pictures!
Dawn run this morning.
-
just lost my whole post!
Week 1 day 4 of c25k this morning. Walked about 1.5 miles from office to parade staging area after work and another 1.5 miles in the parade handing out boxes of popcorn from our float. Really humid and had liquid awesome running in my eyes the 'whole route. Good times! Breakfast for dinner after parade at one of my fave little restaurants, then a shower (ahhhh....bliss) and now relaxing.
Night all
-
Aww Sweet don't you hate when that happens - also what was the parade for?
Last night did Body Combat and this morning bright and early for Sprint (30 minute bike class)
-
Happy Friday, ladies!! I've committed to and power walked a minimum of 30 minutes daily this week. It's going to be a busy weekend, but I will make the time to keep it going. I've lost 6 pounds in two weeks so I'm chugging along.
I have to keep reminding myself how great I feel after I work out. Lol! Keep up the great work!

Attawoman Wendi!
This Girl Can
"A background on the 'this girl can' video: Sport England is an organization that funds fitness programs in the UK. In their surveys they found that most women in their country wanted to be more active but were intimidated. They felt they were too heavy, too old, too uncoordinated, too self-conscious, or too whatever .....so they created this video of real women of all shapes & sizes just out there moving & having fun. If 'this girl can', then every other girl can too." [edit to give credit to Ruth, who posted this a while ago.]
-
Wendi, sounds like you are speeding through not chugging along! Love the vid, badger! Congrats on the great BP.
I'm counting Thursday's massage as exercise as well as 20 minutes of stretching last night. I will get more active today.
