MRI shows liver lesion worried!!
hello ladies,
I just got the results from my doctor advising the MRI results state: favorably focal nodular hyperplasia
This is my regular doctor which ordered MRI, since the oncologist saw no mass in the ultrasound and suggested I should follow up with regular doctor for slightly levated AST/ALT 100/120
My regular doctor wants me to get a biopsy but I'm think I'm going to wait to see what oncologist says, since ultrasound did NOT show it andit's apparently about 4.3 cm ??? It's on dome of Liver and MRI suggest Focal Nodular Hyperplasia. I just finished Herceptin 7 months ago . So worried, does chemo cause focal nodular hyperplasia? Would MRI detected if it was mets?

Focal Nodular Hyperplasia is a benign tumor if I'm not mistaken. So don't worry just yet

Thank you for the response, I called the Moffit center to get a second opinion. Been worried sick all weekend just trying to figure out why the ultrasound wouldn't see this.
