Fatigue and work stress

today I have learnt something.

Bosses love to forget about radiation therapy.

If you don't take disability or leave of absence how can you protect yourself for being pushed to the limit of your strength?

On Monday I reminded my bosses that I am at my3rd and last week of rads and if they can give me some flexibility on some deadlines...

Answer was no.

I am exhausted and working in the evening

I asked the radiologist for a letter on the duration of my treatment and anticipated side effects, like the fatigue that is hitting me now and probably getting worse.

Got a great advise: just work less and if they complain , show them the letter....

I am outraged that employers are not prepared to handle the situation

menealo, I'm sorry your boss is so ignorant and insensitive to your physical limits at this extremely tough time for you. Get and keep the letter from your doctor handy. Enlist their help if necessary and of you have a responsive HR group, ask them for guidance regarding FMLA status to give you the time you need to focus on healing. To not have the time necessary to recuperate, jeopardizes your health(most important) AND the company's bottom-line. Your boss should recognize this and work with you. If he doesn't, he is a first rate JERK.
