Patty I am always amazed at how when we are on holidays we go out even in bad weather, and have a good time. I wonder, how come we never do this at home?
The first night of our holday in August DD and I walked to a playground by the sea in stormy weather and it was WILD and it was FUN. We wouldn't think of going to a playground at home in that kind of weather
Good for You!
View from the playground that night

Love the photo, Feline. It reminds me of the Light, thus hope,in this dark world we live in.
-
feline. Love the photo. Great shot. Are you a professional photographer?
I got my thyroid tsh test results back last night. It was way out of range. No wonder I've had horrible migraines. The range is .35 - 5.5. Mine usually fluctuates between 7-12.. the new test was 87.0. Whoa. Mo increased synthroid from 125 to 150 . Hoping that will take care of migraines. Back is still doing so much better. Not completely pain free but def doable. I can live and enjoy life like this. Woohoo

Wow, Patty, so much good news!!
Since you've been following my musical activities, I have an update for you. I sang along in a rehearsal last night for New Jersey Chamber Singers. They are a really great vocal ensemble. I'll go to another rehearsal next Tuesday and then audition to join.

I'm a bit excited because I've never auditioned into a high level vocal ensemble before now. I've been taking lessons the last two years and I hope I'm good enough now.

Madelyn - fabulous. Love Love Love Chamber Choirs.
Patty I am a keen hobby photographer. That view from the playground was really just a point-and-snap shot 'cos it was WILD! I never risk the precious in the rain!!
Great news about the hopeful end to the migraines
-
madelyn. How exciting ! Wishing you the best for the audition.
Went to bed early last night due to migraine. Was like 7 pm. Boys were at church and dh worked late. Was perfect evening for early bed time. Slept great !!! Woke up with another darn migraine but it's gone now. Started my increased synthroid last night so hoping for major improvement in a couple days. Back pain is still minor. Woo hoo.

Cup of Tea for You.

Miss Patty-cake! Didn't I tell you to cut down on that quart of bourbon a day??? I mean! Maybe a shot before bed-time, but not the whole bottle!
Maybe that has something to do with your head-aches I read about.... BAD girl! Just keep that imbibement to a minimum.... Yes, that IS a word. Anyhoo, I hope you are feeling better again! Sounds like you are....
So, I'm just glad you are mostly feeling better! I'm just waiting for it to get light out, to go walk around in my yard, and water, and enjoy the sun-rise. Love you little-tink! xoxoxo

chevy. Yea ! So glad to see you. I've missed your humour. What only ,1 shot before bedtime ? Look weed is not legal here so a girls gotta do something mind altering. - just kidding I don't drink any alcohol. I used to like s beer in the summer but with all the meds I am on, don't think it would be a good idea.
Off too another great day. Yea. Getting ready to take take ds2 to orthodontist to see if he needs braces. Went about 6 months ago and he had too many baby teeth left. Hoping insurance helps pay something on these. They are expensive indeed. His appt is at 9:30 so I decided just to keep him home for the day. Having just ds2 and mom day. It's been probably 3 years since we have had a day alone together when I wasn't on the couch in pain. The most fun we have had is watching a movie into at home. Ugh boring. So orthodontist, library. Lunch somewhere, buying some fall clothes - seems like we just bought back to school clothes- and then see what we can get into for fun. Not sure who is more excited. Ds2 or me. Ds1 has school dance tonight and I've been trying to give him some dance lessons. He said that they don't dance like that anymore. Too old fashioned. Ugh they sure have a way of making me feel old. Ivebeen alive to see so many Things they are reading about in history class. Now that's old.
Hugs all around

Hugs back!
-
Patty, you could u tube some dance moves after school right quick before he goes to the dance....since you are old fashioned! Lo

THAT'S the prob! Not enough drinking! Hah! I just got over a bladder infection, or what some call a UTI.... Wasn't bad at all, but I just felt "funny".. So I REALLY had to start drinking more.... MORE iced tea, coffee, chocolate cokes, etc. Water just has to be flavored somehow.
Then the Cipro caused BIG problems in my shoulder! I thought WTH??? I looked it up, and shur-nuff, it SAID it would make it hurt in some people. Now me being the "some people", had problems with the tendon or whatever is in there.... So I quit the Cipro.... and now I am fine again. I had taken a different anti-B first, but then they called in the Cipro.... But I am not taking anything.... just drinking lots of stuff....
When EYE was growing up, I had 2 "tusks".... So in THOSE days, they tied "bands" around them, connected to my front teeth, and the idea was to pull them down & forward.... they pulled 2 out, to make room for the 2 coming out from the front of my gums! DD had to have one removed from the roof of her mouth, because our mouths are too small for all those damn teeth! I have room for 12.... Not the "normal" 16.... PLUS all 4 Wisdom teeth removed........ that might explain it.

Drinking help the dancing?
-
lol. Something would have to help. I can't move my feet and clap at the same time. Always off beat.
Tge school dance was awesome according to ds1. That is after all the arguing about what to wear. He wanted to wear a muscle shirt. I want him to wear nice button up shirt with tie or blacker. We met somewhere in the middle . Very handsome I must say. He is very shy esp around girls. He got up the nerve to ask a ninth grade girl ( 1 year older ). And she accepted. He gave all the details ; she said he smelled good, he said she was pretty. ETc. So glad he still feels comfortable enough to share this with us. Hope we slways have a relationship where he csn ask or tell us anything

Patty, that is so sweet!
-
Aw........so sweet.

So glad the school dance was awesome for DS1. What a gentleman!

well Friday I had a great mother / son day with ds2 and Saturday I had a mom / son day with ds1. It was the best 2 days I've had in 3 years. Sat we walked the entire mall and I never got any back pain, period. Hip hip hooray. Before the back pain was constant and even worse just standing or walking to the car. I have been battling migraines so assuming the increased synthroid was not enough. Will take a blood test tomorrow to check thyroid again. Sat night I started a low grade fever and sunday the fever was hovering at 102.5. Same thing monday. This morning when I finally dragged myself out of bed, I was soaked thru clothes and hair. Guess I broke the fever. Feeling much better tonight.
-
Oh Patty - so glad the fever broke. Hope you are feeling better!

Patty, I'm so happy you're spending special times with your sons.
I know you asked on the ABC game, but I'll answer here where I first mentioned the audition. Short answer, no.
I got so completely nervous during the audition, I ruined my solo piece. I did fine during the vocal exercises, he took me to a high Db above the staff before he stopped me. He didn't have me sight-read since "I know you can sight-read" from last audition years ago. Also had me sing back strings of notes to check my pitch matching and memory. I think I did rather well on that part as well, some of those were tricky. However, given a choice between two candidates, of course they went with the other person.
Sigh. Nothing lost really but my pride and my dreams.
-
mom. Hey at least you tried. That's pretty impressive to me. I am way to shy and well have no musical talent to try. Good practice. I. bet you make it next time. Love seeing you living life to the fullest.
-
Hope you are on the mend, Patty.
Drats, Mominator!
-
Hope the fever stays away and your defensive cells take care of the bugs.
Bummer, Mominator.

-
beautiful.
Feeling great. Looking forward to getting into something fun this weekend with dss
-
Mominator- I am so sorry you didn't get the position. There will be others keep going!
Patty- I am so glad you had time with your son alone. I am sorry you got the same bug and thrilled you recovered so well. I hope the thyroid issue is resolved and with it the headaches. Enjoy these fall days with your family. Wonderful you are feeling better and the back pain is doable.
Hugs sister!!
-
Patty saw on Insomniacs Thread you feel the migraines are decreasing! Yaay!
