    My wife had her biopsy done 10 days ago and says her nippleis sore to the touch. Anyone deal with this? Also HER2 came back as 2+ which is borderline? What does that mean? I read on boards of positive or negative no mention of borderline. Her DX is IDC grade 1. Met with one surgeon, waiting to get appointment with local highly rated cancer center. Any help is appreciated.

    FL - a result of 2 for Her2 is an equivocal result - not firmly negative or positive, and requires a different lab test to determine the true result. This is a fairly common situation and using the second lab test is the standard way of dealing with this issue.

    Yes, looking into Lynne Cancer Center. Sent them all paperwork yesterday, waiting on appt

    Have you also considered Sylvester at U of M? That is the only other large, comprehensive center that I know of in that area. Ask any questions you have here - someone usually has an answer, this early period is one of the toughest - wishing you the best!
