Here's one a good friend gave me...pick one characteristic of 3 celebrities together to make your perfect match...
(I.e. George Carlin for sense of humor, Paul Rudd for coolness ( I know, he's my daughter's age) and Brad Pitt for looks)
-
Steve Allen for humor (although deceased), George Clooney for handsome looks,
-
New Orleans Chef Emeril Lagasse (because I like to eat), Clark Gable for his sexy coolness, Johnny Carson for his sweet sense of humor.
That was fun. I will tweak it a little: pick one characteristic of 3 celebrities together to make your perfect friend.
-
ok, I'll answer you back. I love Valerie Bertinalli's personality. (I've been watching her cooking show-so there's that too), I love Oprah's philanthropy, and I read Mayim Bialik's blog. She's very smart and interesting. I don't agree with everything she writes, but she would be someone who would stretch and teach me.
It would have been fun to be an extra on the movie set...

the newest movie "Sully" - the story is unique

This shows my age- the end of The Way We Were where Katie touches Hubbell's hair. I also love the scenes where Hubbell's and JJ talk about "best day" etc. Also love the scene in Dr. Zhivago that shows the jonquils blooming. Ok, I'll stop.
I'll pass it on: favorite movie scene is...
-
when Dorothy wakes up in Oz and everything is in color vs. black & white.
when Pee Wee dances on the bar in those crazy shoes to Tequila in the biker bar.
when Karen plays the Stones and Alex's friends smile at the beginning of The Big Chill.
Lots of great movie scenes-do again?
One of my favorite scenes in a movie is ...
-
Oh My Gosh, mine are the same as Kaptions. The Way We Were is my all time favorite movie. I still cry at the end.... they still love each other and can never be together.
And Hubbell's and JJ talk about the best days on the boat is one that makes me ache whenever I even think of it!
Badger, I love Blues Brothers too.....the church scene, the restaurant....."we're on a mission from God". So fun & you can tell how much fun they were having doing it.
Glory when the soldiers are singing around the campfire the night before the big battle and Morgan Freeman talks to them about being men, and the morning of the battle when Matthew Broderick, who plays the commanding officer, and knows he's going to get killed, sends his horse running off down the beach to safety. When I taught, I had the school appropriate version of the movie and would sit with a box of kleenex in my lap every time I saw that scene.
Any more favorite movie scenes to share?
