Okay, maybe more like gnats or biting flies. I don't know how else to describe it and when I searched, I could only find topics on during treatment. It's mostly on my arms, but since chemo, whenever I sweat (which is A LOT with hot flashes now), my skin feels like I need to start swatting. It's quite bothersome and sometimes painful. When I first felt it, my skin was soooo dry so I attributed it to that. But now, my skin is pretty much normal; I splurged on spa treatments to exfoliate, hydrate, soothe, what have you, doted on moisturizing and I take vitamin E and fish oil which have helped tons in the way of healing. My onc has no idea. Anyone else experience this? What helps and does it ever go away?

I had this sensation. Like thousands of bites all at once, or needles stabbing all over. Mostly torso, arms, sometimes thighs. I thought maybe it was part of the hot flashes. But it wasn't necessarily at the same time, so a bit of a puzzle. I will say that it lessened over time and eventually went away, it hasn't happened for awhile now.

Liloefer - Yes! It is mostly in my arms too. When I get hot it feels like I'm getting bit by something all over my arms (like little gnats), but there is nothing there and no marks. I tried Benadryl a couple of times hoping it would calm down, but it didn't work. I googled it and like you, only found topics about SE during chemo. I have no idea what it is. Hopefully someone will come along with an answer!

I have the same problem, but no words of wisdom for you. I will say, that it has started to get better this week (2.5 months since last chemo). It has only happened 1 time while working out as opposed to every time. Hopefully someoene else can offer us some insight.
