Others w/ Invasive (not in situ) LOBULAR breast cancer?
Would you please let me know if you, too, have Invasive LOBULAR breast cancer.
I was told only 10% of all breast cancers are this type.
Newly diagnosed and have lots of questions.
Thanks much.

Hi simoneg, I was diagnosed with Multi-Focal ILC in September last year. There are threads specific to Lobular Breast Cancer but I'm happy to help if I can. Stay off Google. There is no better site than here. Thinking of you. Hugs Donna.

I have both LCIS and ILC. Donna is right- there is no better place than here. So much knowledge! Check out the ILC subforum.

Hi Simone
Here is where you can find all of us who have or have had ILC
-
Hi, yep, me too....the ILC board linked above in another post isn't always the most active because there are less of us than the IDC, but we do monitor the board regularly, so if you have questions/concerns/etc. post away. Someone will jump up and help as soon as we can.
ILC is a less common kind of bc but it is the second MOST common. I remember that my surgeon said "it's RARE" and made me feel that much more weird, singled out, and scared when he said that as he shared the pathology report (like because its less common is it harder to tx, etc.???), and then I did more research and found out it's the second most common type. Which for some weird reason, after I reframed the info like that, made me feel a lot better.
The ILC board has lots of useful info we've already discussed about tx options, aggressiveness, etc. there are some things to be hopeful about with ILC, even more so with IDC, so join us there and/or use the search function where you can look for keywords specific to your questions, too.
Hugs. You are going to be okay.
