They found a liver lesion.....
I'm terrified.
I'm a mom of two- 6 and 13....
I had just gotten my medical insurance worked out after waiting a year to get a check up--- the doctors visit was unfruitful- they ordered bloodwork on 8/9 (which I still haven to get the results of) after a routine PCP visit- the guy was new and didn't even look at me. I had been having right side pain that they just ignored. The following week I had a PS appt to get revision on reconstruction. They started to schedule the surgery when I decided one day to go to the ER to actually get looked at- since the doctor's visit sucked, and I had a gut feeling. I drove myself to the little satellite ER they have here for people who get hurt at the beach....
THANKFULLY the nurse saw my gut feeling and long story short after 7 hours- I was given a CAT scan and they found a 6mm liver lesion.
This was Sunday. I called my onc first thing sunday morning and scheduled an appt for 9/1. He's on vacation and I have yet to hear back if I need to go to the office immediately.
They have all my reports from the ER- and no phone call in 2 days.
This is amping up my anxiety 100 fold.
Sorry- I just had to vent. Anyone else going/go through this?

MandalaB, I understand your terror. It's so hard to wait and unfortunately we BC SURVIVORS have to do a lot of waiting. It doesn't help that your physicians have been negligent. I am glad you trusted your gut feeling and sought further care. By now you've seen your onc, hopefully he has set you up for a biopsy. I pray it's not cancer, but if it is there are so many new treatments that weren't available even a few years ago. I was diagnosed with liver mets August 8th. It was such a shock and took me awhile to wrap my head around it, but I started taking iBrance and Faslodex by injection two weeks ago and have already seen a reduction in my tumor markers, so I am hopeful for a good result.
Please let us know how you are doing.

I would just like to jump in and say that it really could be anything. I had a 6mm lung nodule that turned out to be nothing after watching it for 2.5 years. Also my DH had a 8mm liver lesion after his Colon Cancer dx and after chemo , he has been NED for three years with no other treatment.
Stacey and Malanda, thinking of both of you. 😘🙏
