    Hi all,

    For all whom it may concern: it was just on the news here in the Netherlands that there is now a very reliable DNA-test called "Mammaprint" (www.mammaprint.nl) that can test if a tumor is high risk or low risk to become metastatic. So this test can save you from having to undergo Chemo (in about one third of all the cases that have to undergo chemo until now), as it tests the DNA of your specific tumor.

    Thanks for your post. The MammaPrint test has been available for a while in the US and Europe (at least).

    In the US, MammaPrint was initially developed by Agendia as a Laboratory Developed Test. Later on, Agendia sought approval under Section 510(k) of the U.S. Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. The "MammaPrint Fresh" version (using fresh tissue) received 510(k) approval first in June, 2007. The "MammaPrint FFPE" version (MammaPrint® breast cancer recurrence test in FFPE (formalin-fixed paraffin embedded) tissue) received 510(k) approval in January, 2015.
