Two tumors - One Oncotype score

I had two invasive tumors taken out in one "chunk" during my lumpectomy. I had some DCIS in the margins so I decided to do a DMX and remove both. Nodes were clear on both sides.

My Oncotype score came back as a ZERO. This is good news! But should I have had 2 scores? They were very close together and similar pathology.

My MO assured me to believe this score and take my Tamoxifin. When asked if it was for both tumors she replied, yes, I think it covers the entire specimen.

Anyone else have a similar situation with one report/score?

I had 2 tumors and one score...I assume only one tumor was tested but also assumed the scores would be similar...not sure why I made that assumption! Probably thought they'd test both if it were likely the scores would be divergent.

I had bilateral invasive tumors, and there were three additional small tumors on the right. Only got one tumor's Oncotype: the largest. It does make me wonder sometimes if I should have had at least both of the largest tumors on both sides tested, but it's done now.

I had multifocal ILC disease (3 parts); they tested two of the three, because the 3rd sample wasn't large enough to test. The scores were close but not identical (0 and 4). The issue of hetergeniety within a single tumor is an issue and I suppose more of an issue with multiple tumors.

I also had two tumors and one Oncotype score. One of mine was smaller 6 mm I think, and grade 1 and the other was bigger, maybe 9mm and grade 3 and I think the oncotype was for the grade 3, but maybe it was for the entire specimen, I'm not sure but I only had one score

I had 2 tumors(left & right). Only my left one with the positive nodes was tested. It was a 4. I was bummed that the other tumor wasn't tested. I had to beg & plead to get this test done in the first place!
