Lol on the butterfly garden, everybody has their passion . aww Ginger so sorry you missed your tri again but sounds like you've been getting a real workout with your construction work. Mary I noticed the morning was a little darker too and a little cooler, I am looking forward to fall. Ruth hope your carpenter meeting went well and you didn't hit him with a 2x4.

I found a dress for Hannah's wedding while I was in New Hampshire at Dress Barn almost bought it but thought I'd better check as I kind of thought the color was similar to the bridesmaids - when I got home and checked - yes, darn it but I still might get it for the Indian ceremony which is at the temple the Monday after winery wedding and the girls are wearing blue for that one.

    Tonight did Body Jam.

It's been gorgeous here - walked Sunday afternoon and Monday evening. Today bugged out of work a couple hours early and walked in the afternoon sun. Bonus to the nice weather is I can sleep in 15 more mins; getting out for a brief pre-coffee / pre-dawn walk is a good goal but challenging. Logging 10.5 miles since past post.

    POUND and Barre.

(I just deleted a rant about the kitchen; realizing that if this is the worst thing that ever happens to me for the rest of my life, I will be in pretty good shape. We will just say that it is going to take more time & hassle than it would have had it been done right the first time........).

Ruth: I feel like you could use a big hug (((Ruth)))Good way to put things in prospective. Still, this is causing you a lot of stress and stress can have profound effect on us. May this time around be the right one.

No formal exercise today. I was helping dh's 95 year old aunt (who I love and adore) get to doctor visits.

Thanks Wonderland, I always like big hugs! I am really not all that stressed (maybe I should be more stressed because I am getting kind of used to having everything covered with dust and eating peanut butter sandwiches Loopy).

Ruth you may be the inventor of the next diet fad - The Peanut Butter sandwich diet, I'm sorry you're having to go through this but you have a great perspective and let me send you a big hug tool Badger I'm with you on catching a few extra zzz' s in the morning rather than getting up to exercise. Wonderland spending time with people you love is exercise for your heart - the best kind TH I also found a beautiful black dress but I don't know if you can wear black to a wedding either.

Tonight did Grit Strength and CX Works

Is it a day or night wedding? Both my sister & I wore black to our brother's wedding (and, yes, we liked his bride ).

Ruth - rant away if you want! Remodeling is frustrating enough when everything goes right, and doubly frustrating when things go wrong. Does the guy even have an explanation/excuse/reason why things went so wrong? Cheryl - when I was growing up wearing black to a wedding was a no-no, but of course in those days a lot of things were no-nos, like ladies going out in public without wearing lipstick, hat and gloves. And of course it was a serious offense to wear white shoes after Labor Day! Things have changed and I see a lot of black dresses these days at weddings.

Nice dawn run this morning - lots of deer and bunnies. I'm with you Two - I'd love to keep this nice weather for a few months.

I think things went wrong because of the combination of being in a hurry, being careless and getting in over his head; saying he could do things that he obviously didn't have experience doing.

Another fun day of walking; beautiful weather! The gal taking the selfie is the visiting daughter of one of our walkers, and one of my old Pom Pom Girls, several decades ago.

What a nice-looking group! Our evening weather includes the upper Midwest so I see what Ruth's getting and what's headed our way. Overnight rains and lovely fresh morning morphed into a muggy afternoon. Tired tonight and not up to the heat but plan to get up and walk in the morning.

hbcheryl, you should have your choice of dress. Color almost like bridesmaids but you and Hannah were so close you should be able to get away with it. Black, yep, nowadays it's acceptable. But if you don't want to do either you get to go buy another new dress! ruthbru, he should not get paid anything, not for the shoddy work he attempted and has to be redone. Weather here still humid during the day but evenings are nice and breezy.

Yesterdayr rode bike in morning (1 hour) with a break to watch people practicing airgun target shooting. Was invited to participate but decided I would probably shoot myself in the foot or didn't want to embarrass myself by missing the target by several feet. Then did line dance practice for 2 hours in the afternoon and early evening lead my Leslie Sansone walking group in a 5-mile exercise class.

Today had meetings so no exercise and tomorrow not looking too good either. Need to do something as want to drop a few more pounds before the San Antonio gang gets me and forces me to eat constantly for a week!

    Night sculpted friends.

I did a water fitness class this morning. It was a lot of fun and a great workout. We did lots with these rubber balls that we grasped with our whole hand and pushed around under the water. My arms are feeling it already.

Yep, black is fine, except when the bride is also in black. Hehe. I had a black dress for my niece's wedding. We all bought our clothes at the last minute. DH found a tux for $99!

Ruth, hope the mess will be fixed soon and make all the trouble worth it in the end.

I have not been able to go out for a run yet but did Body Jam Monday and Tango last night. I bought running shoes yesterday so I should be all set today. The salesperson said they were for short runs. Perfect for me.

I will really like the kitchen when it's done; so it's all good.

POUND & Yoga & doing some house cleaning. I can put things in the bottom cabinets & get rid of some of the mess anyway.

Ruth - a hint - think twice before bringing anything back into your new kitchen. You'll be surprised at what you can toss when you take a few moments to evaluate each item - old scratched pans, storage containers with no matching lids, old ratty kitchen towels, canned goods with frightening expiration dates long in the past, that weird kitchen utensil that you used once 10 years ago, etc.

    Hi all!

Sounds like everyone is active and busy!

I have been to several weddings recently where many of the women were wearing black dresses. They all looked great so If you love your black dress go for it!

Peanut butter sandwhich a great go to and no pots and pans to clean!

My DD who is a beach body coach got me the new country heat dance workout. It is so much fun! I am glad no one can see me try and do it but it's fun and I laugh out loud! I'm also covered in liquid awesome when done! Have done this last two days. Trying to up the cardio to go with the Pilates.

I have managed to walk 1-2 miles every night this week on the dreadmill. Our AC unit went out a few weeks ago and We decided to tough it out until next year. It is 87 degrees in our house this evening. I have a window unit in the room with my dreadmill, but still dripped sweat. A cold shower has never felt so good!

We have fun things to spend our money on this year with a quick trip to Myrtle Beach coming up Labor Day weekend. Wanted to squeeze something in before the next surgery that's scheduled November 3rd.

Logang tough summer to lose the A/C but cooler days are coming.

planB that looks like fun. and it doesnt seem like you need a lot of exercise space, which is my issue.

Cheryl I think black is fine. In fact I think its very elegant.

Muggy but cool enough here I went for a 35 minute walk this evening. Ive been trying to work off three pounds I was up. Down 1.5 so halfway there.

Loving the cooler morning and evenings, but not liking it still being dark at 6:00! Week 2 of work and so far have managed to still get my steps in. The other day I was charging my Fitbit so forgot it for my evening walk!

DD got home Monday night....and leaves again in 9 days. Not getting as much time to enjoy her but hopefully we will spend Sunday running errands getting last minute things that she needs. She spent the first two days home catching up on sleep and doing laundry. She is also trying to squeeze in time with friends! I'm going to miss her next year!

A good friend of ours, their 41 year old daughter was just diagnosed with bc....stage 2. She starts chemo tomorrow. Her kids are young, both under 5. It just stinks!!! My heart breaks for them. So unfair.

Ruth, look forward to seeing the all finished kitchen

I know you'll enjoy the time with your DD Karen even if it is fleeting, sorry about your friend so young -'it stinks. PlanB58 Country Heat looks like fun. Logang sorry about your a/c spending money on vacation is much more fun than having to shell out for house repairs. Thanks for the input on the dress, mind you I already have 2 outfits a pretty orange and a lovely blue but I see Apple Red and Black in my future then I really must stop going to the Dress Barn website and store cause they seem to 'get' my style.

Did Body Combat and Body Pump tonight, came out of the gym at 7.45pm and ughhhh it was dark, the day's really are starting to draw in!!!

PlanB: That looks like a fun workout!

Karen: So sorry about your friend's daughter. Unfair is an understatement.

Cheryl: Dress Barn website has got your number!

TH: WTG on the weight loss. I'm still trying to lose 5 pounds. Would love 10 pounds but will be happy with 5.

Logang: Sorry about your ac but have fun at Myrtle!

Walked/ran this evening. Still so stinkin' hot!

Off for a cycle and wine tasting tour of Bainbridge Island with friends. Will leave the car here in Redmond and bus it in to Seattle as the buses here have bicycle racks. Then ferry it over to Bainbridge Island. A bit hazy on the route, but I do want to visit the winery that grows and makes wines from varietals that flourish in the Puget Sound area, but not in the Columbia Valley. Of course, I am open to tasting the other wines as well. I know there are lots signs that say "winery this way" and I suspect we won't be the only cyclists with the same idea.

Should be a wonderful outing, and fortunately a lot cooler than last weekend or even yesterday. This excursion has been on my bucket list for a couple of years and finally getting to do it!!! I don't think all that many miles, but great fun nonetheless.

I guess I really do lead an "active lifestyle" as other people I know do wine tasting via limo to the Woodinville wineries (such as Chateau St. Michelle....cycle by it often, visit seldom). And of course, there is nothing like needing to get back on your bicycle (winery to ferry) to encourage moderation Happy - Claire

Wonderland yes they have my number my credit card number that is and it gets used frequently Claire your wine outing sounds lovely, I know someone who moved to Bainbridge Island and she loves it up there. Badger it's cooler here too unfortunately it's not a going to last but I'm going to enjoy it while it's here, also I had to turn the light on in the kitchen when I got up to feed the dogs this morning another sign the days are drawing in.

This morning did a 1 hour Soin class and then there was a demo class for Les Mills Sprint which is a 30 minute HITT class on a bike, ooeeee it was a workout but I did a double header as tomorrow I'm heading to Temecula to do cake tasting - a job I was born to do

Raining on & off today, good for the plants and makes weeding easier.

Walked 30 mins early then did 30 mins Garden & Sculpt this afternoon.
