Knitted Knockers, Amazing!

Let me preface this post by saying this is NOT a solicitation. Knitted Knockers are fabulous. I have 4 and they were knitted by angels (the women who knit for no charge all over the country). I sent a donation to the incredible ladies who do this and got a letter saying "we do not accept donations, but thank you anyways!" They are light and so natural looking. I can wear tight t-shirts with them and they stay in place with a MX bra. The ladies will make them large or small, your preference. I had a terrible time with the heavy, silicone filled prosthesis, so I started (5 years ago) stuffing my bras with light pillow stuffing. It never quit stayed in place, so my tops had to be camouflaged a bit. I was adjusting often and told my husband to signal me if they looked uneven :)). I had a right MX in 2011, obviously, no reconstruction ever considered.

In May 2016, I came back to the discussion boards for better ideas for a prosthesis. For her privacy, I will not say who told me about KK's, but I looked them up on google and found they are a group of ladies all over the U.S. who do this for us BC ladies. I sent my bra to the organization and they sent me 2 of these awesome knockers. I asked for 2 more and they sent them, pronto!

So, if you're looking for a natural, light and beautiful prosthesis, I encourage you to at least check it out.

I have them but find my bra ridesup, did you put anything in them to weigh them down?

Rianne: I have had a pair for a very long time, but due to PMPS have not worn them. Yesterday, pain or no pain wore them in the bra that is suppose to hold my $300+ prostheses which are way too heavy and painful. The knitted ones were more comfortable, but after about 3 hours had to take it off. Yes, they do ride up. Cost wise (only a $10 donation) they are a gift.

    Agreed! These are the best!

I nearly always go flat, but when I do want some foobs, the Knitted Knockers are what I use!

I do have to wear a bra that won't ride up, though.

I had a coworker make me some. They are great early on when the incision site is still sensitive. I love that they are free and that these women donate their time and materials to make them!

I saw them couple months ago, there's group of ladies knitting in the park & they were on display! wouldn't it be scratchy if you put it inside the bra?

Totally agree. I only received my Knitted Knocker last Friday but had to try it right away. It is so light and comfortable. I haven't worn it out yet so hope I don't have issues with my bra riding up. It is made with high quality cotton and isn't itchy at all.

I'm in Australia and donations are accepted here. $10 covered packing and postage costs and I donated a further $20 toward the purchase of more materials. Such a small amount compared to my $450 silicone breast form.

Sorry I was slow to reply Meow. Thanks so much for posting a link Lucky.

I will try the coin trick if I find it's a bit light. Thanks gerri.

They do not ride up for me. I took out some of the stuffing and redistributed a little. Yes, I also have the $300 prosthesis, what a waste for the insurance company and me. I don't think I wore that for more than an hour, total!
