Steroid Side effects with Chemo

I have only had 1 chemo so far but the side effects I have are craving sugar and energy to want to do things. Things like clean and organize things I usually put off. My Dr said it was from the steroids. Does anyone else have these side effects and will they last throughout treatment? of course the first week following chemo I did not feel this way.

    Absolutely those are steroid side effects. After my first treatment, I was able to reduce the dose. You might discuss that with the doc. I hated the day after chemo - was hard to sleep because of those steroids.

    I think the schedule of your steroids makes a difference. Since I got them once a week, I would have a sleepless night, an energetic next day, a couple crash days, then three fairly normal days. Repeat. If you start experiencing mood swings or crying spells, you'll have a good idea why. Oh, and you may find that any nagging little pains or injuries you've had for a long time (e.g. a sore wrist or foot) just go away. Thank you, steroids.
