Loblar cancer and now blood in my urine
if it is endometrial cancer is that metastic? Or is it a new primary and only related to tamoxifen or do I proceed to stage 4. I understand that if it is kidney related I am probably toast. Investigations, ultrasound and urologist today being booked. Anyone comments pleas

Did any pain accompany the blood in the urine? How much blood?
-
Any history of kidney stones? It has been blazing hot in many places and ERs fill up with kidney stone people this time of year.
-
No pain at all. Spotting only. But since last posting more volume. No history of kidney stones. I can't sleep. I think I am in shock. I am in the middle/end of reconstructing my right breast. Exchange operation to be in early October. I have not been thinking of dying for quite a while now. I guess I was being overly optimistic. Thanks for posting ladies.

Blood in urine could be a simple UTI. My sister had one and bled like crazy.
Did you increase your vitamin D supplements? Some people start forming kidney stones with too much D.
Vaginal atrophy can also cause spotting/bleeding.
Hope all is well for you.

I had bleeding from a UTI and, on separate occasions, spotting from vaginal atrophy.
I also had bleeding from a suspected UTI that didn't show up in a culture. That time I was investigated for bladder cancer (ultrasound, CT, and cystoscopy) but nothing was found.
Good thing you're being checked out, and hope you get a non-worrisome answer soon.

I have had blood in the utine often in the past year. The urologist did a cystosvopy and found nothing. They said that hormonal changes csndimetumes cause it and other times they never know. I have had vaginsl bleeding on other occasions and they say that's due to atrophy. Lovely. But glad it is not cancer. Uterine lining thickening can happen with Tamoxifen occasionally endometrial cancer, but that would've anew primary, not stageIV. It is rare

Thanks KBee,
Much has happened in the past two days. I had a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday and my oncologist just called me this morning. I have thickening of my endometrial lining and the doctor said I must have a biopsy done. She told me to stop taking the Tamoxifen immediately, while she gets me a gynaecologist in order to have a biopsy. My oncologist said she is arranging tetrazole for the immediate future. But thank you for your comments that if it is cancer caused by the Tamoxifen it is not Stage IV, really appreciate that as I think that would be worse. But I am afraid ....

Tamoxifen is known for causing uterine thickening. Hoping that is all it is. Keep us posted. I am on Letrozole now, since tamoxifen did not work. Endometrial biopsy is uncomfortable, but not too bad. See if they will allow you take ibuprofen . Keep us posted

My doctors (now 4, oncologist breast; oncologist gynaecologist; retiring regular doctor; new regular doctor) just received the results of a pelvic ultrasound test for the bladder. A 2 cm nodule located superiorly and to the right of the midline on the inside of my bladder wall. STAT DELIVERY REQUESTED. Suspected 2 cm transitional cell carcinoma. Cystoscopy is recommended. My retired doctor, and then later that day, my breast oncologist called me to say I have to have a biopsy for TCC in the bladder.
My breast oncologist called me later that same day to tell me she is emailing her urologist who is also a top surgeon to get a cystoscopy done for me. The urologist called me in the next day. He has ordered surgery for me next week. He says he will perform a resection surgery along with the biopsy. So on the 27th this will be done, followed by an exchange operation and reduction on existing breast October 11th, after which I will be scheduled for a hysteroscopy to look for cancer in my endometrium. (The pipelle biopsy was insufficient due to a blocked endometrium passage.)
So, likely, the tamoxifen caused the 16mm uterus wall thickening (and possible endometrial cancer); and the bladder cancer (if it is); likely due to Cytotaxan (3rd Gen Chemo) as it is a listed risk. I am not a smoker. Scream.
Scary!!! Thank God for ativan.

Ack! I hate that you have to deal with this. That's HORRIBLE!!!!! Perhaps you can ask if they can do the hysteroscopy the same time as the exchange surgery. I did that with my surgeries (they did oophorectomy the same time as the re excision and ALND. It just took creative scheduling, but it meant one less time under anesthesia and one less recovery. Sorry you are dealing with all of this. I've had to have an endometrial biopsy for bleeding and a cystoscopy for bleeding, but so far, they've been clear. Hoping beyond hope that they find it's some benign growth when they do your surgery.

Thanks Kbeee
You are very kind. Thank you for letting me know that you have had both types of biopsy and they were clear. That is encouraging. I see that you have had a difficult road yourself. I am happy that your nodes both times were clear. That is very good!
I was called two days ago to ask permission to do both kinds of biopsies at the same time. Relieved! I think they must have heard your suggestion. Positive thoughts always brings better results!
The plastic surgeon's office also called to let me know they had to reschedule me to November (or January) due to an emergency operation required by another patient. Kinda glad that I will have time to deal with the fallout from the upcoming surgeries before going under again.

Traumatized but H-A-P-P-Y. Tumour in bladder on ultrasound not present on biopsy. Endometrial biopsy, hysterscopy and D&C looks normal. Retesting for ultrasound bladder and waiting for results from endometrium. I feeling like I am protected from harm. A guardian angel on my shoulder ....
