Hello all,

I am a year out from chemo and have suffered with bone/joint pain as many of you have. I had a 6 month check up last week with my med. onc and he's sending me to physical therapy for my right arm/elbow. i went to pt for left arm/elbow last fall. a couple days before my check up, i found 2 lumps behind my ear on the right side of my head and a day ago, i found a 3rd. my med onc is sending me for a cat scan this week but he seems to think it's related to my elbow/arm pain and inflammation. I wouldn't be worried but this happened when i was diagnosed in 2014. I had 2 lumps behind my ear on the left side of my head that popped up before I started chemo.

It sounds very much like your doctor is right and this is related to your injury/inflammation more than cancer, but you may want to post this in a different forum (perhaps the “not diagnosed with a recurrence but concerned" one https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/105 as this one is specifically for DCIS.

Just from the fact you had chemo which is never given for pure DCIS, I can tell that you must have had a more involved diagnosis, which would come with a higher risk of recurrence than most people posting on this forum would be familiar with, so you might get more helpful responses elsewhere.

Sending good thoughts that the swollen nodes are nothing to be concerned with.

    Annette,

Thank you so much! I'm not on here much but I thought I'd throw this out and see what came back. I'll post on the other forum. Thanks again!
