Wow that bird must have seen laundry hanging outside. I can't remember when I saw that. However, I do hang a few clothes over some chair backs in the yard and so far no revengeful birds!

Great shot. Are there lots of other mud nests nearby? In my area they swarm around houses that are empty for the summer and build like crazy.

This was out by an elk viewing ground - there were loads of nests in the gazebo. Here is another one in with a little different view.

Lovely way to wake up and see that backlight hummer. By the time I get up and about in the a.m. the birds are hiding from the heat and I've tried lots of ways to feed them but the bees from all my lavender plants swarm the feeders.
