I posted this in the DCIS topic but haven't gotten any replies. Thought I would try here. Starting to worry and feel anxious.

I am 3 months post rads/5 months post lumpectomy. Feeling great physically other than a tight, sore feeling in the underarm and upper arm area. I feel this mainly when swimming or stretching. Doesn't hurt, just sore. Anyone else experience this? Going for my first mammo in a month and I am trying not to get freaked out by the tight/sore feeling. Please tell me this is a normal sensation.

hi, i am a year out from rads and still get weirdness. I'm worried now over a dimple that my onc is not concerned about.

My sister who finished rads 6 months ago is in physical therapy for her arm, shoulder area after a Lumpectomy.

I also went through physical therapy for the same problems. I am almost 5 years out from

an MX and have tightness every day.

Yes, it's normal. It took me YEARS before everything settled down and felt pretty 'normal'. Keep swimming & stretching, both will help. I exercise all the time, and I don't think I would have ever felt okay had I not kept at it.

I have the same soreness and tightness and the massage therapist at my cancer center said that it was the biggest complaint she had from women following lumpectomy/radiation.
