Here is the pertinent findings from the initial screening 3D mammogram for your review:
A lobulated mass measuring up to 2.5 cm which could represent several smaller
adjacent masses is identified in the upper-outer aspect of the left breast, mid to anterior depth,
which was not definitely seen on the prior study.

Findings: Sonography of the left breast anterior depth was performed. At 1:00, 4 cm from the
nipple, an oval mass containing fat and multiple nodules collectively measures 26 x 25 x 9 mm.
This was not previously noted, possibly secondary to dense breast tissue. Ultrasound-guided biopsy
should be considered.

Impression:

1. BI-RADS 4. Mixed density mass may have been present previously but obscured due to dense
breast tissue.

My doctor told me it might be a complex cyst. How likely it is going to be a cancer? Thanks

    I have done a lot of research there are all kinds of answers about it. Really terrified. This long waiting is a true torture...

    Hi capricorn!

    Of those whose BIRADS scores are "4", aproximately 80% have benign results (not cancer!) after biopsy. Most insurance companies won't even pay for a biopsy if the BIRADs score is "3!" You have the "minimum" score that most consider suitable for biopsy.

    I note that reading on this site can be a bit misleading. The people who stay and post, are those who were in the "20%." As you continue to read, it begins to look like everybody who gets sent for a biopsy has cancer. It's simply not the case. (The 80% have generally left the breast cancer forum and gone on to other things.)

    The chances that you will be in the 20% are excellent! Try not to borrow trouble (or even do more research) until (unless!) trouble troubles you. (That is, after a biopsy report.) In the meantime, do things you enjoy that distract you. Movies, books, hikes, etc. Just keep telling yourself "the odds are overwhelmingly in my favor!"
