Hi all, Just wanted to update my status to you. I had surgery on Aug 4, same day surgery. So home on drugs and TLC with Family members. However I fell from the dizziness of the side effects of the drugs. I threw my back out and boy did I hurt. But today I was able to get up and around, took a half shower, and had lunch with family in the patio. I do not know if I did any damage to the surgical site or implants, but nothing tells me there's a problem What a journey this is! How are other early Aug surgeries doing?

So sorry to hear that you fell and hope that you continue to heal and recover without further incident. The side effects of the medications are under acknowledged, in my opinion. I took one pain pill upon returning home from the hospital, also after a bilateral mastectomy (along with ALND on one side and SNB on the other) and refused to take any more. They made me very unsteady on my feet and I decided I'd rather feel some pain than be so wobbly. I'm now on day 11 and don't regret that decision.

    Hi Leydi,

Thank you for your response. Yes, I too stopped the meds and am only on Tylenol as needed. I am now 1 week post op. Saw MD yesterday and need my drains in a bit longer. But all is going well.
