Throwing out an additional Holy Moly!!!
-
it's been a while since anyone posted something here. No one sewing? My last project.
-
I just finished this rosette. I have so many, many more to do...
-
I'm also working on a traditional pieced quilt with Flea Market Favoritrs jelly roll blocks, but an not far enough into it to have photos
-
Hi Melissa.......my two young nieces (the ones with me in my avatar) rang me last week to ask if I woukd make them a memory quilt with photographs of their sleeping toys.........they have chosen colors and I just need to go to the store next time I'm in the city.
I've been busy crocheting blankets for my family. This is the last one I completed, it's king size and it was for my grand daughter.
I love what you have been doing and tgat rosette is spectacular! I can't wait to see it completed.
Love n hugs. Chrissy
-
Chrissy, your crochet is always gorgeous. I can never keep my guage consistent, so mine is always wonky
-
Today I completed the first of many dreamcatchers that I will be selling in my shop. Thought I woukd make then wgen it's quiet rather thancread a book and want to fall asleep....lol.
Melissa I have been crocheting since I was about 14. I taught myself by looking a illustrations but in the beginning my tension was off as well......it just takes some practice.....the more you do the better you get.
No pattern, I make them up as I go along.

-
Wow Meow, that is gorgeous! Nice work lady!
-
Thanks, it is for my niece she is having a baby in November.
-
Meow she is going to love that and it will keep the baby nice and cosy! Crocheted blankets are really very warm even if they don't look it.
-
Well done, Meow!!! Chrissy, you have a shop?????
-
Yes Barbe, I have a shop.....lol. Antiques and crafts......just smaller pieces that are easily wrapped and put in a bag.....some on the cheap side and others a few thousand but really high quality and rare. I thought of the cards (which have my photography on them) and dream catchers to begin with on the craft side but that will expand as there are so many things that are small, cheapish and pretty that will go well.......I hope. Besides, it give me something to do when it's quiet.
I'm only open four days a week, Friday through Monday and that leaves me time for house work, appointments and catching up with my sisters and friends........I think I've got it worked out.......lol.
-
I want to work with you Chrissy!!!!!!!!!
-
Lol, any time Barbe, any time.
-
I just finished a smaller version 2 x 2 in reverse colors. I did a tight 5 double crochet fan for the trim. It came out pretty good. I figure my niece can use the bigger one and the baby smaller one.
Sometime I am going to get back to quilting. So many projects I finally have time to do them.
-
Meow I know what you mean, so many things to do and not enough time to get it all done......lol. I tend to go round in circles with the things I do as well as the mood or circumstance allows.
-
Wow, so much beautiful work on this thread!
I'm working on an afghan. Here is one square
I finally finished the squares and now I'm joining.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you more.
Mominator
-
Mominator, that is going to be so pretty
-
Mominator your afghan is lovely! I love the granny square afghans, they are so colorful. The colors you have use are perfect!
-
motivator, very pretty I love the colors.
-
I finished joining and edging the afghan.
S'more inspected.
Here's a detailed look at the joining and edging.
I'm happy to be done!
-
So pretty. I can never get my tension even enough to be happy with what I crochet.
It is also so hot here I can only stand to have what I'm working on laying on me while I work on it during the winter. No summer crocheting for me!
-
Oh Mominator that is absolutely beautiful! It looked great with just the squares done but the joining and edging finish it beautifully! I really do love the colors as green is my color.........lol.
I finished seven dreamcatchers and then decided that was enough for now. I've sold two and of course replaced them as well as quite a few of my cards.........needless to say I'm a bit chuffed with it all. Oh yes, I've also sold some antiques as well.
I've finally got the fabric for my niece's quilts so now I have to prepare the white to be able to print photographs on. Once I've done that it will be full steam ahead.
Happy crafting all!
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Hello all, A friend said to me yesterday, "I didn't know you could craft? I knew you took photos" Well, I was thinking about starting to show some of the crazy things I have made in the past few years since my Dx. Is it ok to join you all? My dear friend, Slowdeepbreaths (Beppy) is going through some hard treatment - so I made her a "In your Pocket wallhanging" and added friends names on it with little clothes pins. This is what it looks like:
-
Welcome GmaFoley. Very cute!
-
Hi GmFoley! Of course you can join in.....welcome!
What a lovely idea! It's beautiful and a visual for wonderful support when your friend is feeling a bit down.
Can't wait to see some more of your craft.
Love n hugs. Chrissy
-
Thank you Chrissy. I do a few other things. Maybe post one a day? Except for today. I will do one more and let my BCO friends know where I post my crafting pictures. These are some cookie jars I stained glass painted and gave them to the Radiation Center filled with cookies, of course, on my last days.
-
Oh they are a really good idea and one that could be utilized for a lot of things beside cookies!
-
Welcome Gma Foley. I think about you every time we drive past the Battleground exit on our way to see DS.
