Horses can be very therapeutic. Anyone on this board that lives in Georgia, is more than welcome to come out and spend some time with one of our 4 legged friends. This picture was taken last easter.

My son (14, autism) used to be part of a therapeutic riding program. As a result, I volunteered there for about three years. Loved it. Since being diagnosed I've gone back to visit a few times. Nothin' makes me feel better. Horses are extraordinary. Lookit that face.

imageHorses of all sizes are therapeutic for little ones as well. I spent 7 days with these little miniature horses and these miniature people (my grandchildren). The horses were so calm and simply loved being around us. I had a hard time saying goodbye.

This is my Personal Therapy Horse, Rosie.

She is unaware that she is a therapy horse; she thinks of herself as a lady of leisure for the most part, occasionally interrupted by a strange woman (that would be me) who comes out to the stable and insists on grooming her, riding her, and trying to teach her new things. I love her to pieces, and I enjoy every minute I spend with her. She is helping to keep me sane as I go through treatment for TNBC.
